Ross pov before Lauren came up

I wrote down the last lyric for the song I'm writing for Lauren, my door swung open revealing Rydel "Hey Ross" I looked up from my paper

"Hey del, can you help me?"

"Sure, what's up?"

I sighed "Lauren's birthday is coming up and I want to write her a song"

She sat next to me "Well, let's see what you have so far"

I handed her the sheet. She smiled "Aw Ross! Who knew that you were the romantic one in the family?" I laughed

"Well, now we need instruments" Rydel got up and walked to my closet "Do you still have Luna?" I nodded "I never gave her away"

I walked to the closet and and helped Rydel get Luna. "She still looks good" I plucked a string, I heard a knock on the door

"Delly, Ross dinner is ready" Lauren's soft voice called. I looked at Rydel in panic. Rydel walked out of the closet "Ok, be down in a bit"

I heard silence "Where's Ross?" I mentally face palmed slowly walking out the closet. Lauren looked confused, probably wondering what we were doing.

She turned and walked downstairs. "Ok let's just finish the song later", I turned to Rydel

She nodded and walked downstairs for dinner. I reluctantly followed and sat next to Lauren, but I felt her tense up

"Are you okay?" She nodded, then glared at Rydel.. Um?

"Can we talk later?" Lauren whispered in my ear. I nodded and finished eating

I dried the last dish and put it away. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs

"Ross!" I jumped a little then turned around, there stood Lauren

"Hey love, what's wrong?" She rolled her eyes

"What, were you doing with Rydel in the closet?" What? I sighed

"She was helping me get my guitar from the shelf" I didn't tell her everything else, I don't want to ruin the surprise

She took a step towards me "You know, my birthdays coming up in a few days" I nodded

"Did you know, girlfriends always want roses and jewelry on their birthday?" She's dropping hints.. Classic Lauren.

I nodded, she won't be wanting roses and jewelry after this birthday

"My ring size is a 7" (A/N I don't know her real ring size) she walked back upstairs
