( Kendall's P.O.V )
We got into the cab and made our way to the studio. It was really big. We made our way to the receptionist.
"Hi, my name is Kendall Smith. I have an interview at 12." I said with a smile.
"Oh yes. I heard that you will be dropping by. Okay well Mr. Montgomery will be here shortly. Please have a seat and I'll let him know that you're here." The lady behind the desk said.
"Okay thanks." I say.
My mom and I make our way to the waiting area. We were the only people there. It was really awkward so I just pulled out my phone to check my twitter and messages. My mom looked through the magazines and pulled out People magazine. The headline was “Is Miley Cyrus Pregnant With Another Man’s Baby?” I really don’t wanna know. We waited for about 15 minutes. I was so bored I almost fell asleep. Then a low voice woke me up.
“Kendall Smith?” Said a tall, cute guy.
Nearly jumping out of my chair I say, “Uhhh, yeah that’s me.”
“Oh okay great! Well we’re all ready for you.” He said with the cutest smile. “Is this your mom?”
“Yes it is. Hi I’m Carol Smith.” She said.
“Nice to meet you Carol. I’m Connor Montgomery.”
There is no way a hot, young guy can own this massive production building.
“Nice to meet you too” She said while shaking hands with him.
“Right this way ladies.” He said leading us to the board room.
Once we got inside I saw about 8 people sitting around the oval table. There was an empty seat next to a girl but I couldn’t see her face cause she was turned the other way talking to the guy next to her. Mr. Montgomery said to sit next to her so I did. She turned to face me and she said
“Hi you must be Kendall! I’m Demi Lovato.” she said while opening her arms for a hug.
My mouth dropped 50 stories down. I couldn’t believe I was sitting next to the Demi Lovato. I opened my arms and gave her a hug. The guy next to was sitting there laughing quietly to himself. I gave him a smile and he gave me one back.
She pulled away to go greet my mom and Mr. Montgomery came over to me and sat in her chair.
“Hi Kendall. I think we’ll have you sing in about 5 minutes. Sound good?”
“Yeah thanks Mr. Montgomery.”
“You’re welcome. Oh and call me Connor.” he said with a friendly wink and got up and left.
That wink made me melt. Once everyone got settled Connor announced for everyone to be quiet and that we’re beginning. I chose the song “Heart Attack” by Demi Lovato. Once I started I saw a huge smile develop across her face.
I finished the song and everyone clapped for my. I even think my mom had tears in her eyes.
“That was amazing!” Connor said.
“Thank you!” I said back.
“Now the interviewing process.”
“Bring it on.”
