Just turned 20 Amara moves to New York to start over with a new identity when her life becomes a complete whirl wind filled with excitement , terror , joy and danger.

Amara hated working, she always had . Having to serve other people 24/7 and tolerate how rudely some customers treated was like her own private hell.
However she put on a sweet smile and a delicate voice and braced herself for the most likely horrific day she had coming . It felt as if hours went by until Amara finally allowed herself to check her phone . Her shift was over at 1:00 and her best friend Alexandra (Alex for short) was going to come by so they could hang out.
Unsurprisingly Alex barged through the heavy glass Doors of the coffee shop and made one of her less dramatic , dramatic entrances . "Hey girly!" Squealed Alex "I missed you, it feels like we've not seen each other in ages."
"We just saw each other yesterday !" Exclaimed Amara an amused expression lingering on her face whilst Alexa rolled her eyes and in response said "Yeah, ages."
Amara chuckled and they started to decide what they should do today.
"Omg what about if we go to the crystal shop and get a ton of cute crystals!" Alex asked hope practically swirling on her eyes
"I really want to but I don't have enough money any more ever since my parents cut me off remember." Amara replied dampening Alexes spirits
Amara's whole family cut her off because she refused to be " a good little housewife " to this stupid , old , controlling and rich man ! They had tried to sell her off as if she was nothing but a household pet that they could dispose of whenever she proven no longer useful to them , those bitches!
Although it doesn't surprise her , she was always treated as an outsider to her family . Always there but never noticed , always heard but never really listened to.
"Never mind I know a place we could go and it's completely free!" Alex's said quickly whilst dragging Amara off by her arm.
