Gareth:"Do you think this will work?"

Both Gareth and Charlie stood at a cave's entrance, staring at the interior after Gareth had found it on their small walk through the new land

Charlie:"I mean...it could work for a temporary base. I'll venture inside and see what i can find" The mage offered, heading inside the unknown cavern with confidence he'll get to find something useful

Gareth:"I'll go collect some wood for a campfire then, call me if anything happens!" Meanwhile, the knight quickly ran off into the wilderness to retrieve the materials needed to make their new base, at least something as simple as some fire to pass the night for now would work

Charlie didn't bother answering as he knew she was gonna go even if he said no. Going inside the dark cavern, some glowing crystals attached to the rocky walls made a fine light source for him to see inside and notice every detail that could be essential for them. He reached to one of the walls and took one of the loose crystals, examining it in his hand with curiosity

Charlie:"These have some kind of weird energy emanating from it...i'll come for some when we establish our base" Not having a backpack to leave the crystal in, he simply carried it in his hand to show it to Gareth when they reunited back outside...the rare stone was too big to put in his pockets anyways

The more he went inside the cave the more of those crystals appeared, it seemed as if it was an unexplored cave that they ran into by cheer coincidence...of course, that was until he reached a way more open part of the mine, a place where many mine carts and rails laid going into different tunnels that shone with what seemed to be more of those weird crystals. Charlie stared in awe upon the sight, not expecting to find a place like this on their first arrival there

Charlie:"What even are these?..i wonder how expensive they are, we wont last too long without food and i could sell these on a nearby shop..." He thought to himself as he walked up to one of the mine carts, looking at the small amount of crystals that were left there. Taking into consideration that he was still human, he wouldn't survive too long without anything to eat, needing to find some food later on whether by hunting or on a city that crossed his path

While he looked into the many rare stones, some steps drew nearer to him from behind. Charlie instantly guessed it was Gareth that had come back from reuniting wood and turned around, lifting the crystal in his hand to show it to her

Charlie:"There you are. Did you see this? It seems like a rare-" But before he could finish his sentence, he was stopped by the figure of a giant black werewolf with shining red eyes, growling while it looked down upon the Master taking it's time to analyze

Moments later, the unknown creature raised it's claws and swung them forward, luckily for Charlie he managed to roll out of the way and stand near the entrance to the large mine that he discovered, throwing the crystal to the ground and raising his fists ready to fight

Charlie:"You're definitely not Gareth, but whatever you are i can take you on!" Confidence ran through his voice, all his training back with his adoptive mother wasn't to go to waste after all, specially if he could help himself up with some magic boosts that he learnt back then

Not awaiting a response, the beast ran to Charlie and swung it's claws down again trying to slice him in parts, but Charlie ran forward and delivered a punch to it's gut in a small attempt to stun it and interrupt it's attack, jumping and kicking it's face to make it stumble back into the ground

Charlie: God bless reinforcement magic... "and now, return to the hell you came from!"

He reached to grab the crystal that he got earlier, getting over the werewolf and using it to stab straight into where it's heart should be. Luckily, the black beast stopped moving as he pierced it's chest, getting the young mage to sigh in relief
