3rd P.O.V
In Beacon Academy's ballroom, Ruby sat at a table looking rather glum when Weiss came over with two identical looking tablecloths.
"I need a second opinion on which tablecloth to choose."
Ruby looked at the two handfuls of fabric before turning to her partner, confused.
"Aren't they the same?"
Weiss sighed in annoyance before noticing Ethan walk up to the two. The young boy looked at the tablecloths for a moment before pointing at the one to Weiss's left.
"That one."
The Heiress smiled.
"I was also thinking of using this one, but I needed to be sure. Thank you very much Ethan."
"No problem."
With that, Weiss walked off, a small smile on her face while Ruby leaned towards Ethan.
"How did you do that?"
"I just randomly chose one. I didn't say I noticed any difference between them."
As the two mulled over life's odd little moments, Dante and Yang came into the room, each carrying a large speaker on their shoulders before they set them down with heavy thuds on the ground, making Ruby, Ethan, and the table they were at bounce into the air. The two paid no attention to the commotion they'd caused as Lucius shouted at the new arrivals.
"Hey, don't break anything!"
"Hey, mind your own business!"
Lucius growled at Dante as Yang approached her sister.
"Well, that's everything. So, have you picked out a dress yet?"
"What's the point? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going."
"Don't worry sis, she's going."
Yang looked around a bit before frowning and turning to Weiss.
"Weiss, I thought we agreed on NOT having doilies!"
"If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!"
"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?"
The two teams looked to see Sun and Neptune walking into the room. Weiss crossed her arms and looked at Yang, the Blonde Brawler sticking her tongue out at the Heiress before calling out to the blue haired boy.
"It's still being negotiated."
"Got it."
Sun nodded in agreement before speaking up.
"So, everybody excited to dress up?"
Ruby laughed at that before shaking her head while Ethan just held his hand up flat and shook it. Lucius and Dante just shrugged while Yang spoke up.
"Laugh all you want, but I'll be turning heads tomorrow night!"
Weiss shook her head before turning to Sun and Neptune.
"What will you two be wearing to the dance?"
Sun just gestured to himself.
"Uh... this?"
Lucius smacked himself in the face while Dante chuckled, and Neptune held a hand to his partner's face.
"Ignore him, for he knows not what nonsense he speaks."
Sun smacked his friend's hand off his mouth, letting him speak up.
"Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I was born and raised in Vacuo. It's not exactly a suit and tie kind of place."
