BTW WRITTEN IN APRIL 2023 VERY OLD and implied smut (not written LOL)

Based off of roblox doors omg??
My headcanon bc i learned tht this theory was kinda half wrong mid-writing but its too late now so imma jus make it my own AU ???

Arlo is a monster?? Idk like one of those mythic creatures in the hotel but the aim isn't to harm humans, but help them survive the monsters.

Like an archangel but he may take on a physical form (usually humans cannot comprehend seeing them so much that they die upon contact in quick and painful ways)

Thats why they appear in the form as the blue lights around the hotel, showing you the right way.

John is a journalist (the mc in doors) that was interested in these ghostly mythical creatures that he was unsure was real (didn't think they were) so he accidentally yet not accidentally entered the nether realm separate from the real world. (Hotel is based off of ww2)

Roblox Doors lore ykw kachow

You know how everytime you die, you get some messages , tips on how to survive the following monster you died to? That's the angel bringing you back to life and giving you advice. Sometimes, the angel speaks to you with personal messages instead.

But in this case, it's Arlo. And he's taken an interest in this stray human lost in the nether realms. John has 'died' a few times already. But never truly died due to his strong mental ability to keep his soul intact and Arlo never allowing John to actually die. He'd always wake up after a 'death' to a blinding blue light and a voice speaking to him.

The first time was when he died to Rush. "You died to Rush!" The voice called out. "AUGH!?? WHAT THE FUCK" John basically screams while falling backwards onto the floor, confused as to why he's still alive. He just felt himself get ripped to shreds, afterall. A blinding blue light shining and speaking to him!? His ability can do nothing here, in a place of monsters and homunculus', beings with no aura channels. Living breathing beings with an insane amount of power but with no auras present.

The voice then advised him how to take on rush the next time he encounters it."Pay attention to any cues that might hint at its arrival." 'This voice is kinda hot' is what John thinks to himself. Which was true, Archangel Arlo had a very deep soothing voice.

As time naturally passed with each death, Arlo would talk more and more to the human. Taking more interest in him because so far, his soul hasn't withered unlike the previous humans who wandered into this abandoned place. Their souls would start withering away, usually leaving it very difficult to piece them back together by the third death. If anything, his soul seemed to shine brighter. John was always brimming with energy at the fullest. This deeply interested the archangel.

His ability has something to do with it

When Arlo took an interest in the human, he wouldn't have ever thought he'd show his physical form. Ever. No human has ever been able to hold themselves together after looking at an angel. They usually exploded into mounds of flesh and unidentifiable piles of meat and blood. Horrifiying ways to die? Contact an archangel. See if that does you any good.

He was wrong though, of course. Somebody who can keep their soul intact long enough for Arlo to piece him back together is already extroadinary. This was one of the strongest humans he'd ever come across. Aside from archangel Seraphina, she'd become an angel after death. She was a powerful entity with extraordinary powers that rivaled a demi-god even before her ascension to the heavenly realm.

To think that this young man could keep himself together and even look at Arlo astounded the angel. It didn't stop there, John didn't explode when he touched him! Seraphina, although able to communicate and see the angels, had she touched one in her living days, she'd have suffered a terrible fate. She wouldn't have become the top angel in the hierarchy in this day today.
