"School?" Peter replied. "Ya, I saw in the paperwork that you go to Skimbridge High, but I know that you'll probably want a little while to get used to this place, and me and Stephen want to get to know you better. So I was just wondering how long you'll wanna take off? ". " Oh! Well, I g-guess a week? Or not! However long you and Mr. Strange want! I-i'm not trying to skip school or anything." Replied Peter. He couldn't help but want to make the best first impression possible, he didn't want his new guardians to think he was a trouble maker who liked to skip school. "Kid, seriously, it's fine. I get that everything is new and different, but you don't need to be so nervous, alright? We chose you, we aren't gonna send you back. Not for anything. So just relax. How about you stay home for a week? Enough time to get more used to this place, but not so much time that you'd miss too much in school. " Tony explained, his lips curling into a soft smile. Peter was taken off guard by the gentleness of his tone, unable to remember the last time someone had spoken so softly to him he couldn't help but smile back. "Ok, thank you Mr. Stark. " He replied. "No problem, but seriously stop calling me Mr. Stark. It makes me feel old. " "Then what should I call you? " Questioned Peter. He knows that Tony was technicaly his dad now, but they had only just met. He couldn't call him 'Dad', at lease not yet. "Just call me Tony. By the way, wanna go into the living room? The rest of the Avengers should be getting back soon. " Said Tony. "Ok then, Ton-WAIT WHAT!?!?"
