Tsubaki was confused by his own feelings. Was it just because he found Maiko pretty? Or is love at first sight a real thing? With Ema, although Tsubaki fell for her quick, it definitely wasn't just by looking at her. This case was different and a first for Tsubaki!
Azusa realized by the look his brother had at Maiko, and his weirder than usual behavior, Tsubaki had immediate feelings for Maiko.
[Azusa P. O. V] I know my brother well. This was the first I've ever seen him flustered over someone, especially at first sight. But i-its impossible for him to have feelings for her! They just met, so why is he like this? There Maiko was smiling at Tsubaki, and he was just standing there with a starstruck expression. I called out to him, "Tsubaki! ", in a whisper tone not to draw Maiko's attention.
By calling his name, he came back to his senses, and smiled at me, almost like a signal that he was sure he knew what he was feeling. " Ahh, this is too confusing... ", I say with a sigh. Here we are to have fun, and now my brother had been affected by an invisible love bug... If the love bug is even real...
" Alright, I think that you two are well acquainted by now! Maiko, why don't you show us a few games that are a good mood booster. ", I say while removing both of their hands from each other's. " Right! I almost forgot why we came here.", Tsubaki says while smiling at Maiko. Ugh this is so cheesy, stop looking at her like that. One thing about Tsubaki, he is a charmer. We are voice actors for games by profession, and let's say that Tsubaki is quite the ladies man. His fan girls are always waiting for him outside the company just so they could give him gifts, and here he is, the same man being smitten by a girl he just met! Can't wait till the the others hear about this.
[Tsubaki P. O. V] Azusa came over and ended my handshake with Maiko. He seemed to be deep in thought. "oh, right I almost forgot. My last name, it's Tachibana! So I'm Ms. Tachibana to you Mr. Asahina, until were close enough to go by first names. Now let me find you gentleman some games! ", Maiko said before turning away from Tsubaki to look for the games.
I took this moment to quietly speak with Azusa. " This may sound crazy, but if twin telepathy is real, you definitely felt what I felt just a moment ago! ", I say with excitement. " Felt what? Confusion about how you could possibly have feelings for Maiko when you literally just got to know her name? Then yeah", he said with his arms crossed. "Well, yeah.. That! I knew you would get me~", I say while attempting to hug Azusa before he trys to stop me. "Hah, your still the same after all these years with these hugs. Don't touch me. ", Azusa says with sarcasm. I still hug him anyway, he seems cold toward me, but he's a complete softy for his brother hahah!
" I'm back! It seems like you two were having a moment, I hope I didn't interrupt. ", Maiko looks at the both of us. " Your not interrupting at all. I was just reminding my brother about how much I lov-", Azusa slaps my back and cuts me off. "Don't listen to him. What games do you have for us?", He says while side glaring me. " Umm, ok, here is the latest edition of a popular game series called "Happy land"! Ohh also this one too called, " Astronauts " is a really nice sci-fi if your into space and stuff, then... ", Maiko continued to explained. She definitely knew her thing about games! Not too surprising since she's an owner of a game shop.
At this point, I wasn't focused on Maiko's words. I saw her lips moving, and her voice was silent. All I want are the games and her number. My mother Miwa Asahina always encouraged her children to take risks, and I'm willing to take risks by getting to know Maiko, and possibly share a future with her if she is the one! I'll never know unless I try...life is like a Pandora's box, and I'm willing to open that box even if heartbreak is at the end!
" And that's all I have for you! Of course these are my personal picks, you guys can always look around! ", Maiko says with a smile. " Are you satisfied with these Tsubaki? Or do you want to look around? ", Azusa asked. " I think what Ms. Tachibana has picked out is perfect~, we can cash these out right now. ", I say. Maybe my overall feelings are that of desperation, but I must move on from Ema! " Alright, let me take these to the front desk and pack them up for you!", Maiko giggled and made her way to the front desk where she began to bag the games.
"How much do we owe you Maiko? ", Azusa asked. " Hmm... Since you brought me a new customer ", she said while glancing at me. " The games are on the house!". Both Azusa and I were surprised by this. "Ms. Tachibana, we couldn't possibly take these for free! Your running a shop, we insists on paying. ", I replied appreciative of her kindness. My brother nodded in agreement. " Alright, you can pay me back by food! Lets go out for lunch sometime Mr. Asahina.", she said walking towards my brother and I. Then she turned to me and shoved the bag of games to my chest. "After all, food isn't just a key solely for a man's heart~", Maiko said subtly before telling us bye as she walked away.
Little did any of us know that this day really was a life changing day! The day that I met my future wife Maiko Tachibana...
