At 4:05am exactly, Elizabeth Saunder received a phone call inform her that a certain stock holder of her company was going to make an appearance. She groaned rolling out of bed and making her way to the bathroom. It didn't bother her that they came, or even on such short notice, What bothered her was today she had arranged to get off early to spend some time with her siblings.
All eight of them.
They were so excited, they planned the whole evening for them, and yet here she was making arrangements for the bag of dicks who refused to meet her on countless other occasions.
"Daniel, we're going to need the small conference room ground floor cleared from 7-11 for Mrs.Clervys" she held the phone to her ear with her shoulder, as she did her hair in a high ponytail
"Yes, i know im sorry." she replied as daniel chattered away
"well, my people can meet in the office they wont mind" she dabbed on concealer and slipped on her black heels
" I know. He'll have to just deal with it." she kissed her sister charlie and gently woke her as she stayed on the phone " morning Charles" she spoke so softly, Charlie always had a freak out if she woke up and Ellie(Elizabeth) was no where to be found
"theres some pancakes on the table, wake up dexie if you need anything." Charlie yawned and made her way to the table.
Ellie, still being on the phone kissed the top of charlies head, grabbed her keys, purse, and an ever growing stack of binders and files, making her way to the car
"ok, ok dan" she muttered into the phone as a frantic Daniel rambled about how today had no time for a surprise visit.
"Hey dan? Breathe honey. Its alright. Cancel with the amazon dude. I know, but amazon wont just go away. Yes i know its a risk, amazon is a little controlling anyways. I know dan, just trust me. Take a deep breath.....Now i would like you to cancel with amazon and push everything back. I'll keep the visit to three hours tops. Yes of course I'll stay and help. Ok be there in an hour. And Dan? Stop stressing.." with a 'goodbye' Ellie heard the end tone and let out a sigh.
Ellie lived in a heavily wooded area, around an hour away from city proper. She of course had had the option to move closer to her work, but she enjoyed the drive. The hour always went by quickly.
Eventually, she turned the car into the parking garage, and sauntered into the building. She grumbled at the annoying strap on her shoes, rubbing against her ankle. Any normal day it would have been her comfy shoes and a pair of pants that covered said comfy shoes. But of course today had to be special. She wouldn't have the time to change between shoes.
"Good morning miss! " A rather young lady at the front desk said to her
"what is the purpose of your visit?" Ellie gave her a tired smile
"Good morning ms.....gella" ellie said as her eyes flickered to the name on the desk
" I dont usually come in this way, My name is Ellie saunders." she reached forward to shake her hand and gella laughed, waving Ellie's hand away. Ellie huffed
"Look I dont have time for this," She handed gella her badge and it was scanned, the disbelieving smirk on gellas face disappeared
"As you can see, i was not lying. Good day" Ellie gracefully walked past, an impossible stack of files balanced in her hands.
