Sam & Daniel

Chapter 1: Saw you for the first time

It was the first day of college and Sam was really excited to start his college journey. He imagined college life to be like those he saw in movies and series full of parties , sports , trips and relationships (though he knew it was far from reality).

He got up early took a quick bath and went on to decide what to wear. He put on a plain white T-shirt as he wanted to flaunt his biceps for which he worked hard the last one year in the gym. He paired it with black cargo pants and Nike Air Jordan shoes ( which he begged his dad to get him). He reached the college on his bike and looked around little confused which direction to go . As he was wandering around in confusion he heard a familiar voice calling "Sam! Sam!", he turned around and was so glad to see his high school friend Jake.

"Thank God it's really you, or else I would have made a fool of myself" said Jake putting an arm around Sam's shoulder.

"Wow! You are all muscular and built up now unlike in high school," said Jake looking at Sam admiringly.

"You have grown taller too" said Sam mockingly. "Only taller? Don't you think I look even more handsome than I use too." They were just chit-chatting when they heard an announcement asking all the freshmen toh gather in the auditorium for orientation.

It was big room with a well decorated stage and lots of chairs. The room slowly got filled and became noisy as everyone was looking around for their friends to sit together. Sam and Jake sat somewhere at the back not very interested in the orientation.

While waiting for the orientation to begin Sam and Jake were just looking around to see if they can find a girl they like (typical things we all do). Just then a tall guy wearing a black hoodie and mask approached and asked pointing to the empty seat next to Sam " Is anyone sitting here?" Sam paused for a second as he looked at the tall guy his face was covered with mask but he could say he was handsome just from his eyes. "No. You can sit here" said Sam with a smile.

"I am Sam and this is my friend Jake," said Sam almost feeling weird if it was too early for introduction.

"Hi, I am Daniel," said the tall guy.

They talked at the back while the orientation was going on and they came to know they both really liked playing basketball which made them instant buddies. As Daniel didn't know anyone else in the college Sam asked him to join him and Jake to which Daniel agreed.

After orientation they decided to go to the cafeteria for some coffee. They sat around the table and Sam and Jake talked about their high school , friendship , blah blah...., while Daniel just listened.

Daniel is the silent, introvert kind who does not easily open up or talk a lot unless he is really comfortable or familiar with the people around him. While Sam is somewhere in between like an ambivert , he is an extrovert around introverts and an introvert around extroverts (lol) and Jake is an over talkative extrovert .
