Maria's POV

It's been eleven months since I've been turned and it has been amazing, not just with Paul the other three and I have a brother and sister relationship, we joke and play around a lot and they are protective, especially Paul but he means well and can be a romantic, funny, flirty possessive, I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend, But as me and the guys walk the boardwalk and while they joke and play around, I get this really weird feeling so while the guys look for food I decided to head to the beach right after I let the boys know where I'm going and as I head off and the weird feeling get's worse and I see a group of seven male's pushing and hitting a small child who couldn't have been eight or nine years old, I walk towards them fast feeling of my instinct take over to protect this boy... I gain their attention when I yell out to them and they turn and look at me, what the hell do you think you are doing to him, you guys have nothing better to do then pick on a small child! I exclaimed Furiously " look bitch this has nothing to with you so why don't you fuck off to your little biker fuck buddy's or else we are going to beat your ass." The kid then kicks him in his leg and causes the guy to yell and cuss as he backhands him as soon as he did that I turn him around and knee him in his balls, then grab the kid off the ground and run with some of them following.... I get a few feet and sit the kid down and look at him so I can speak. Listen to me kid I want you to go find these someone okay, I want you to tell them Maria needs help and to keep you safe tell them I'm on the beach alright ask for Paul and David the will be by there bikes, whatever you hear don't stop running until you get to them, go now! I tell him and once he nods he takes off.

Laddie's Pov

As I run from the lady that saved me from the surf nazis, I run as fast as my little legs will let me and I slow to a stop when I get to the boardwalk to catch my breath and when I do in run into the road and look for the bikes and when I see them a bunch of guys I run straight to them and pull on the long black coat and he looks down at me. " go away kid." Please are you David or Paul? I all but beg for them to listen as another guy with weird messy hair steps forward... " How do you know our names kid?" The one with the long coat asks, Maria sent me she said that you had to keep me safe there are bad men that want to hurt her for helping me, she said I had to get Paul and David, please you have to help her! I beg some more as the the one with the weird hair bends down on one knee and gently grabs my arms with a concerned look, "I'm Paul her boyfriend where is she?" And I tell him she's at the beach and I'm pulled to another guy and his bike as they get on, "come on kid get on." And I get on with his help I hold on tight as the ride off down to the beach.

Maria's POV

Once the kid is out of sight I hear those asshole's catch up to me and I'm soon surrounded but them.... " so you like sticking your nose into others businesses when it has nothing to do with you huh? Well now you are going to pay for it you dirty ass whore." As they are about to attack me they stop in mid step as we hear the sound of engine of motorcycles I couldn't help the smile on my face as I see them and the little boy on the back of Dwayne's bike, Paul is the first one off his bike followed by David and it's then I see the serious piss off look on all there faces but Paul looks to be ready to lose it even as his eyes search me to see if I'm okay, even though we are vampires we can heal fast we can still get hurt.... David steps forward with Paul following suit as he begins to speak directly to me, " Maria are you alright?" I give them a firm nod once i did he looks back at the disgusting walking blood bags as one being to speak. " this has nothing to do with you, it's between me and this bitch and that little fucker on the bike, and once I get done with her I'm going to kill your little ass kid." He says trying to act all tough i see the kid duck his head behind Dwayne's shoulder to hide, as David speaks again. " so you like attacking a defenseless child and woman right? Well I wonder how you will act when it's just us guys then huh? Maria why don't you take the kid back to our home and stay there." I nod my head and with my vampire speed I run over nexts to Dwayne's bike and pull the kid off and pick him up. Close your eyes Okay don't ocean them until I tell you I tell him as I take off into the night sky and fly as fast as I can so he didn't have to hear the scream's and what seems like for ever but was only thirty minutes inland on the ground and carried him in the cave and sat him on the couch.... You can opens your eyes now sweetheart, as he dose he looks around in amazement. " wow where are we?" He asks so cutely, this is mine and the the guys who you were with home, so what's your name sweetie? " my name is laddie." He says with a tired smile, Before I can ask him anything I hear his stomach growl and I mind link the boys to have them bring food for me and laddie and get up and get a clean cloth and water and clean up his busted lip. Why don't you take a nap until the guys get here and I'll stay with you while you sleep I tell him as he lets out a big yawn and lays his head on my lap and I begin to play with his hair and listen to his heart start to slow and steady......

Time skips

Maria's POV

I was still playing with laddie's hair as he slept the guys have been gone for forty five minutes when I hear there bikes and them yelling and howling, as they came in laughing loud I hiss at them as laddie stirs a little I continue playing with his hair as Paul walks over to me and sits on the arm of the couch. " How is he?" I pull my eyes from laddie to look to him... other then him being hit and a busted lip and hungry? He's okay as can be. " why didn't you mind link us when you were in trouble." I wanted him to get to safety because if he stayed then who knows what could have happen, so I told him to run and get you i explain as I shake him awake, sweetie it's time to wake up and eat, he sits up and opens his eyes as he yawns and looks at the other four that joins us while he slept.

He shifts nervously in his spot as he looks at the food that marko is passing around... "here you go little dude, have some food and something to drink." He hesitates and looks to me I just give an encouraging smile and he takes it and beings to eat.... David turns his chair towards us and gets laddies attention, when he ask for his name and waits for him to swallow his food before he speaks as he looks around to see everyone looking at him he gets a shy look on his face as he whispers " laddie" " well it's nice to meet you laddie, I'm David, the one standing over sitting across from you is Dwayne, and the one playing with the bird is marko and you already know Maria and the one next to her is Paul." He gives a shy hello and turns his attention to Dwayne when starts talking... " why aren't you home with your mom and dad?" At that laddie looks down at his food before speaking while never looking up. " well my mom and dad went to heaven when I was six years old and I was sent to an orphanage because I didn't have any other family that wanted me, and the lady and man that work at the orphanage would hit me and never let me eat, they said because I wasn't like other kids I didn't deserve anything or anyone, so I ran away a few days ago." It got quite so quite I didn't know what to say but from the look on the others faces and the flash of yellow in there eyes I could only assume mines did the same, well honey you never have to worry about them again you are safe here, now finish you food and then I'll put you to bed, and after he dose we all sit with him till he's asleep and we don't even speak as we head in the elevator shaft and fly to the pipe and sleep.

Time skips again

As I slept I had this really bad feeling again and I wake up before the boys and see it's now dark and i fly from my spot and walk into the lobby of the old hotel to check on laddie as I come up to the couch I see him still sleeping with a red substance around his mouth while holding the wine bottle that is full of max's blood and I pick it up and look to laddie and all I can think is........oh fuck!
