"I'm so exited to see Mom and Pa again." I stated excitedly. Mi-Rae smiles at me and shakes her head Violently. She clenched her fist and her face becomes more determined. "Okay I'm ready." She says. I open the door and see mom on the phone. "Mom." Me and Mi-Rae say at the same time. She looks surprised, "what are y'all doing here? What about class tomorrow?" It honestly kind of funny that's her first reaction to seeing us. Always the worry wort huh mom? "We'll get up early." Mi-Rae promises. She closes the door and takes her outside shoes off. "Here I brought dumplings." She hands mom that bag. Ms.Kang smiles and takes them, "I was feeling a little hungry. She even brought dumplings for her dad." She sighs. "Where's dad?" I ask. "Oh he went to a funeral of his friends father." I could tell that probably wasn't the truth but I didn't say anything. "Does that mean he's not coming home?" Mi-Rae ask. "Probably." That saddens Mi-Rae's mood. "Has he forgiven us yet for keeping Mi-Rae's surgery a secret?" I ask hopefully. "Oh yea, he's almost over it." That's a relief. I look to Mi-Rae and smile brightly. She smiles back bumping her shoulder into mine. We laugh softly.
Mi-Rae ends up showing mom the video of me dancing for the dance competition. We're all laid together on the sleeping mat together, with mom in the middle. "Okay mom that's enough, go to sleep." I whine, turning on my side. "Fine, I'll watch it later." She lays the phone down. "So how's school?" Was the first question she asked. "It's good." I say. "It's going fine." Mi-Rae states. "My gosh, I guess the money was worth it." Mom says to Mi-Rae. "You both looks so pretty together. Finally seeing your true value." So cheesy!!! I think, pulling the covers over my face. Zoning out the conversation. I flip on my Side away from my mother, Dozing off. Before I fully fall asleep I felt myself get squished into my mothers side and cuddled. This isn't to bad I guess...

Me and Mi-Rae are walking back class when we hear our names being called. Choi and Eun walk in front of us. "Can we talk?"
"Everyone thinks that Kim Chan-wok is a total jerk, so don't worry." Eun sighs. "I shouldn't have told everyone to come. I'm sorry." When me and Mi-Rae don't respond Choi speaks up. "I deeply regret just stand there and doing nothing. I should've spoken up, no matter how scared I was." Choi bows slightly. "Don't say that. I know you had know choice. I should be the one apologizing. I'm the reason he did all that stuff in the first place." I said. "That's not true Iris. It was my responsibility as freshman representative to stop that. But I didn't so... I'm sorry, Iris." I almost tear up at their apologies, how did I get suck kind friends. I don't deserve it, I thought sadly. Eun and Choi grab my hands and give me a sad smile. I smile back a few tears coming down.

"It's wasn't east to volunteer to stay behind with me in that situation." I voiced. Me and Sua sat alone by a tree, I wanted to thank her for sticking up for me in the bathroom. The hardest part was getting Mi-Rae not to follow me. She's like a protective big sister. When we're both 20! It's nice sometimes tho. To have someone you know care about you so much.
