"Team, I want you to meet Mikolas Chalupník, our new design overseer for the next couple... How long are you staying?" Atalya whispers half of the statement your way, nearing closer to your ear.
"No clue, but it should be a while, don't worry."
You whisper back to her, already feeling the eyes of three others burning into you."A while, yep, so everyone be nice!"
Atalya claps her hands together, wrapping up the introduction and nodding to you to go ahead and do whatever. The three others that were there were definitely younger than you, and one had to be a highschool intern.
One was Holly, who you saw work at the crystal shop weeks ago. She was fiddling with an exo-face of an alligator, and fiddling with strands of her short hair falling out of her scrunchie.
Another person was one you couldn't see quite well from the little corner they were in, but they had a laptop open and were more than busy at the moment.
Lastly, was a man that came up to greet him, looking excited for a new face. He looked to be the oldest, with black hair long enough to reach his shoulders pulled back into a half up style, along with matching scruff that hasn't been shaved in days, and light brown eyes that went well with his tan skin tone.
He was oddly attractive in a weird way, you couldn't put your finger on it. Along with that, he wore what seemed to be the usual uniform of black pants and a short sleeved button down in a dull purple with a lanyard shoved in his breast pocket.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Chalu- uh what was it again? I'm terrible with last names."
"You can call me Mikolas, and you are?"
"Chester, I'm the wires guy, Luna over there on the laptop does all the weird robot brain stuff and I do what you could call the organs!"
"What a handsome name, it's nice to meet you too, where should I start?"
Your genuine compliment must've taken him off guard as you watch his eyes brighten up at it, making you all the more nervous.
You feel like a mess from it all, and the cherry on top is you keep feeling like the bandage on your bite mark is coming off. You rub it once more to make sure it isn't and hoping it's been intact the whole time.
"Oh, we'll you can follow me to meet the animatronics first so you can get a good feel of them all for any changes you make." He chirps out nudging his head over to another damned door, the millionth one you've seen.
"How many does this place have?"
"I think I tried to count once and went insane in the process, also the first animatronic up has got to be my favorite, Sunrise."
"That's the daycare attendant, right?"
The walk to the daycare is very pleasant with you and Chester talking about various things with ease. Even after today you could probably consider him a friend but how easy he is to get along with. You tell him about your shop and he asks more about it, about its origins and all.
"I'm from the Czech Republic, and it's a traditional job I really wanted to carry on."
You feel like you've told people where you came from about a million times today, but it feels a little newer when you tell Chester.
"Hey, so you're sorta the Russian beauty of the team, huh?"
You're taken aback by the compliment and slightly nod, making him chuckle to himself at it. It feels funny to be near so many people, and even weirder to get embarrassed from the behalf of people younger than you.
