Many have testified to Dark Dragon's being the bane of all Sky Kid's existences, and while this is true, many fail to see the absolute wonder our dragon friends can be! Oh! Allow me to introduce myself, I am Makuto, head director of my particular class, K.T.P.A.T, aka, Krill Taming Performace and Training, I tend to host class every six days, though that's not the point of this.

Dark Dragons are an exciting species, classified as Dark Creatures, they can fly for seemingly an infinite amount of time, often patrolling the Golden Wasteland, and Eden, on rare occasions, Dark Dragons are sometimes seen in Starlight Desert, Treasure Reef, and in the areas classified as the 'office' and the 'Halloween' area. Though it's still unknown how they end up in these areas, Dark Dragons typically call the Golden Wasteland their home.

Moving subjects, Dark Dragons are typically 35-30ft in length, horn to tail, 7-8ft in height from feet to top scales, and 5-6ft in width, left to right. The males typically have more enormous horns and do most of the hunting, while the females stay behind and guard their nests and hatchlings, fighting off competing Dragon families.

Young male Dark Dragons typically are seen as the ones patrolling the Golden Wasteland, and no elder Dark Dragons of Male or Female gender, have been recorded/documented yet, however, studies show that male and female Dark Dragons typically mate for life, and can live up to 250-300 years, however, they grow from hatchlings to young adults rather swiftly, only taking 3-5yrs to hit maturity to mate.

Dark Dragons are seen using blue light as bait, to lure in unsuspecting Sku Kids, and ultimately, striking and draining these Sky Kids of their light and winged power, to feed to their families, as a group of hatchlings was studied to often feed from light, and not the usual meat of dark creatures, or dark plants, Dark Dragon hatchlings are notoriously hungry, all the time, a hatchling can't go 15 minutes without eating from a light source without throwing a tantrum, and putting the hatchling's life at risk, unless the hatchling is sleeping, they can conserve their energy, and wait to wake up every 2.5hrs to eat again.

Once the hatchlings have reached maturity, they stop eating from light less and less, and start to eat the dark plants and creatures, and not target Sky Kids, as they no longer need big sources of light to survive, and can convert the dark energy into sustenance to live and function normally.

Fun Fact! Younger Dark Dragons will often visit their elders, and the parents will help teach hatchlings how to hunt, alongside their elder children, usually hunting in packs of up to 10! Who knew?!

As for the history of our Dark Dragons, it is still relatively unknown where they came from, as the Dark Dragons invaded the Golden Wasteland thousands of years ago during the beginning of the Falling Darkness, old scrolls in the Vault of Knowledge paint back to the Season of Shattering, and an unknown 'Season of Cycle' that I'm still studying, hopefully, both will shed more light on the world and what lies beyond it...

Nevermind that, the oldest Dark Dragon on record currently seemed to be an old Dark Dragon with ashy grey scales and golden markings, and has not been named as of writing this, for what we know, it seems to be one of the many elder Dark Dragons, and holds a golden eye color.

Speaking of eye colors, Dark Dragons hold many different colored eyes, not just blue and red! Some records show Dark Dragons having orange, green, velvet, purple, naturally red, emerald, sapphire, opal, or yellow eye colors! However, all turn red and flicker when locking onto prey.

Dark Dragons also possess markings, that come from their family lineage, and/or family traits, along with eye color! They are similar colors to their eyes, usually inherited by their parents. As for where this all started, I don't know, honestly.

Dark Dragons cannot be tamed if they are older than a mature adult, however, studies show that hatchlings taken from their parents and properly trained by spirits, or, Sky Kids, can be tamed and trained to act like normal people, and even function in society, as proven by a famous warrior, and commanding general of many, General Aetrix, who is also my elder brother (by adoption) and is a respected man, despite being a Dark Dragon! Some still frown upon Dark Creatures living normal lives like us of the Light, however, it is possible for Light and Dark to co-exist peacefully.
