Professional football technique:
Though Sasori is not as well known as players his age like Julian Loki and Sae Itoshi, he plays football in Europe, Amsterdam's Ajax to be exact. Sasori has graduated the youth academy and has played against multiple strong European teams. He does have a reputation in Japan though as he is known as "Japan's scorpion" because of his unpredictability and his favourite "scorpion kick".
Off the ball movements:
A term used to describe the moments where players are not in possession of the ball. Sasori uses his knowledge of how the human eye works to stay out of the opposing teams vision
•Shadow play - Harnessing his off the ball movements Sasori instinctively uses this to weave through the cracks in the team's defense, a technique know he calls "slicing". Sasori also uses this ability (along with his explosive acceleration) to swipe the ball from under the other team's noses
Explosive acceleration:
This ability helps Sasori accelerate quicker than the average person and is made possible because of his athletic physique. It makes him able to react quickly (along with danger sense). Sasori's explosive acceleration also helps him to make tight turns and more powerful shots. However he only accelerates for five seconds before slowing down so he must constantly accelerate
•Rigid dribble - When Sasori is in people's vision, he uses his explosive acceleration to defeat his opponents in one on ones. His movements are short, rigid and constantly changing direction.
•Highspeed gearshift run - Sasori accelerates faster every second whilst running in a straight line. It is used to cut through the weak points of the opponents
Shot technique:
Sasori's ball control and physique allow him to score goals from just outside the box at either side of the goal. However his chances of scoring a goal amplifies greatly when he is in the middle of the goal
•Scorpion kick - a volley with the back of Sasori's heel
•Shadow pincer stab shot - Sasori jumps out of his opponents blind spot and makes an accurate and straight, close-range shot. It is perfect for getting narrow spaces
•Rocket kick cannon - Sasori accelerates just before kicking a powerful, long shot. It is not the most accurate shot though
Cruyff turn:
Sasori pays homage to his football idol Johan Cruyff by faking a shot before making a sharp turn to evade his enemy
Leaping:
Sasori has a fast unpredictable leap that can get him to the ball quicker in second ball situations. He uses this to perform shots in the air.
