"And now it's Sasori-kun's turn." At the name Kuro the boy's eyes perked up. Soccer, soccer, soccer, his mind screamed. Just wait a sec, he answered back.
The whole class sighed. "When I grow up I wanna play soccer all day! I wanna destroy all the defenders and score a super goal!" He spun around in a little circle, pumping his fist in the air. "The only things that are getting destroyed are your shoes. Where'd you get them? A dumpster?" This was a regular occurrence for Kuro Sasori. Children were cruel in elementary school. It was a school for the dangerous, the troublemakers and the unwanted.
"Hey Kuro? Wanna play soccer after school?" Keiko Tanuki, the grade's most popular girl, somehow still liked him. Keiko was the only reason why Kuro had survived school that long. The golden-eyed boy wiped the tears away from his face and covered his sorrow in a bright smile. "Y'know I can never say no to that!"
"Maybe I could get you a new pair of shoes tomorrow too!"
"You're awesome Kei-chan!"

Sasori hated Saturdays.
They were the end of a long week of working for some people or a day to rest. A day for most people to have some a little R&R. Yet for him it was a day to be entertainment for people across the world. Football was like that. What a shame.
Amsterdam sure was a nice city. It sure was a step up from living in Brazil or his crappy house in Japan for that matter. Sasori put on a shirt and a pair off worn jeans. He never really put thought into what he wore and the shop was just across the street, like two seconds away. No one would care. It was six o'clock in the morning right about now and he needed a coffee. Fashion wasn't gonna stand in his damn way.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°Brandy's Brews was the only coffeehouse that Sasori would go to. It would be the only coffeehouse he'd go to.
Even if the name was cliché.
"The sign says closed." Amalia, the owner of Brandy's brews, stood with her hands on her hips. Brandy's was the only coffeehouse that Sasori would go to, he told himself.
Her stoic face looked up at Sasori's. Amalia was less than a head shorter than Kuro yet her stature somehow didn't make her any less intimidating. Of course it was the rolling pin she kept that made her scary. Kuro remembered the first time he was hit with it. The thought made him shiver.
