I walked down the stairs of his basement, obviously hearing the others chilling and communicating the way that guys do. There were girls I've seen before, interacted with. The walls were painted a darker gray, and there was a door open that lead back to the outside with a set if stairs. I could tell because of the smell of night, it had a type of way.
As I made my way down the last few steps I turned the corner with his hand on my back, silently reassuring me.
The sight I saw was typical; Ben and Tyler from the lacrosse team, leaning against his chair. It looks as if he will fall any minute.
More guys sat in the couch and one sat on the floor, twirling a blonde's hair.
I saw some other girls I knew sitting at the table, so I went and joined them. He came and sat in the empty chair in between us all.
A girl named Jordan smiled at him and laughed at his joke he told as he sat. I was immune.
"Erica plays lacrosse too, she's on the team with me and Lindsey." Jordan mentioned to him, not that I cared.
"Erica, the girl I just let in?" he smiled, tilting his face towards me. I frowned, searching for Aaron, who had asked me to drive him home.
"OK look no hard feelings or whatever but its passed 2 a.m. and I'm just here to pick up my idiot brother's best friend." I stood up again, looking down at Jordan and Lindsey, both have light brown hair. I left the table and looked for Aaron. Finding him with his friend I led him upstairs unaware that the boy was following me.
I was about to leave the house when the boy grabbed my arm and turned me around.
"Hey Erica..." I had a good look at him. He had little to no acne, a charming smile and a nice hat. He had warm brown eyes. "Take this."
He handed me a slip, pushed me away and closed the door, all in a friendly manner but come on.
The slip had his number on it and his name. Rolling my eyes, I crumpled it up and threw it in his pathetic perfect vibrant green front yard which seemed to stretch forever. My brother waited in the car as Aaron hopped in and I did as well.
My brother got kicked off of the lacrosse team because of his poor grades and he beat up Tyler. I'm litteraly the opposite of that.
I turned around to have one last look at the kid's perfect house before hopping in the back seat.
