Backstory: Daisy was born and in Oregan and lived there her whole life. Her parents mysteriously disappeared when she was a baby, so she lived in an orphanage her whole life. For the majority of her life, she was an outgoing, happy girl who was always dreamed of havinga family. One day on her 10th birthday, she and her friends snuck into the Pink Palace, which was currently empty at the time, Daisy found the little door. Curious, she crawled through it and ended up in the other world, where she met her Other parents. Learning that the Other parents were alive, she chose to live with them and never left. Daisy was in the world for at least a few weeks. But as the weeks went on, she began to notice things were getting weird with her Other Parents. One day, Daisy's Other Mother approached her and asked if she truly wanted to live there forever. Daisy agreed, and her Other Mother told her that she had to sew buttons into Daisy's eyes. Of course, Daisy didn't believe her, but the Other Mother was able to sew one button into Daisy's eye. Thankfully, Daisy managed to escape, but she was traumatized for life. She gave up all hope on finding a family, and ran away from the orphanage. Daisy still has a button in her right eye, so she wears an eyepatch over it. She lives in an abandoned shack alone in the woods. When Coraline moved into the Pink Palace, Daisy wanted to warn her about the little door, but she was too scared. After the events of the movie, she became friends with Coraline and Wybie, but has never told them her secret about her trauma.
Other: Daisy has bad eyesight, and it's hard for her to see since she only has one normal eye. She will sometimes have nightmares about the Beldam coming back to try and replace her remaining eye with a button.
