#10 Come Home to Me

Chapter 1   Don't want to go

Rain stands in the bedroom, suitcase open on the bed, tears running down his face.

"Baby, why are you crying?" Payu comes over to Rain rubbing his upper back in circles

"I'm going to miss you P'" Rain tries to stifle a sob, as he folds his clothes ever so slowly. If he does it slowly he might miss his flight.

"Aww, I'm going to miss you too, but you're going to have fun, even w...."

"Not without you I won't" Rain cuts him off

"Yes even without me, Your going to be spending time with your parents, you never get to do that" tucking a stray hair behind his ear

"I know, but P', isn't there ANY way you can get out of work to come with us, PLEASE" he says in his whiniest voice possible.

"You know I can't Rain, I have to be on site for this next job, it can't be anyone else, the plans are mine, this is my project, I'm sorry" Payu grabs Rain by his waist from behind pulling him against him, smothering his neck with soft kisses. "It will be Ok, you're going to have fun, you love the beach, and you'll get to eat so much good food, it's spicy in the south just like you like it"

Rain lets out a huge sigh, sniffling, wiping his snot with the back of his hand.

"I don't know P'" hanging his head in despair "We've never been apart before, how am I supposed to sleep at night, and WHAT, am I just supposed to walk on the beach at night all by myself?" Rain stomps his feet in frustration.

Payu laughs "You can walk with your mom and talk with her, I know she misses you now that you've moved in here permanently"

"It's not the same and you know it, I want to do those things with you" folding his arms over his chest in defiance

"We will go on our own vacation soon, just you and me, I promise. But this is just bad timing, there's nothing I can do about it." He gives Rain his best pout. "We can talk every morning and every night, and I'm always going to be available to text with you whenever, Ok?"

"I know, I know" Payu is conveying the same words he said when my parents asked to take us on vacation with them last week. I cried all day when he said he couldn't come along. I begged them to change the date so we could all go together next month, but they said they had already booked the hotel and plane tickets. They were going to go regardless, but they really wanted me to go with them.

"It's only 4 days, and even though I'm going to miss you terribly, I already can't wait to see you after you get back" giving Rain a wink patting him on his butt.

He's still not satisfied but he knows continuing to complain is fruitless, he's going whether he likes it or not, he promised his parents he would go and spend time with them, even though Payu is the one that insisted I say yes, the promise had been made.

"You finish packing your clothes and I'll get your toiletries ok " Ruffling his hair

Although still pouting, Rain gives a little nod of understanding

Standing at the terminal, Rain is openly sobbing, his parents have moved to the side to give him and Payu some privacy to let them say goodbye.

Rain's face buried in Payu's shoulder "I....I'm gonna...mi...miss you..P'" drawing out the last syllable
