Chapter 1

*3 years later*

I am officially 3 years old and celebrating with my parents and Kai. Nya was born a year ago, three months after our 2nd birthday. And since Nya will be 1 in a few months, she started walking and talking a few weeks ago. But right now we're three and going to bed right now. "Goodnight mom, goodnight dad." I said to my parents. "Goodnight Mom and Dad." Kai said tiredly. They left and I turned towards Kai and said, "Goodnight Kai." He looked like he was asleep, but he replied anyway, "Goodnight Jax." He said finally falling asleep. I start to drift off to sleep not knowing what to expect tomorrow. I know they aren't my real parents but they took care of me for 3 years. But I feel like I'm replacing my family, my real mom, my real dad, my sister, Maris, and my brother Kriston. And with that I fell asleep

*In the Morning*

Light fills my vision as I wake up. I yawn and rub my eyes to take out the tiredness. I look around the shared room and see Kai not in his uncleaned bed. I go into the living room and smell what seems to be noodles. I see Kai eating breakfast and mom setting the hot food on the table. "Good morning my little moon." Mom said. "Good morning mom." I said. She came up with that nickname when noticed that I am more active during nighttime. She hands me a bowl of homemade chicken noodles and I started eating. "Hey Jax, Kai, do you mind watching Nya today, we have to make enough weapons for next weeks order." Mom asked us.

"No, I was going to go help you and dad make weapons." Kai said being a little bit disappointed. "Kai, we need you to help Jax babysit Nya." Mom told Kai. "But I want to help." Kai said once again. "Kai, you could help by babysitting Nya." Mom said convincing Kai. "Fine."

*Time skip*

Me, Kai, and Nya are playing outside while mom and dad are making weapons non-stop. "Tag your it." Kai said to me. I ran to Nya who was sitting down, "Nya!" I yelled, as she was playing with the grass and she flinched. "Your it!" I said as I tagged her. She got up and walked slowly towards Kai. Kai let her tag him and he started running towards me as I was waiting near the shop, of course he tripped on a rock. He got back up as soon he fell and started chasing me. I ran to a patch of grass and when he couldn't find me so he played with Nya.

I noticed people taking my parents so I ran up to them and said, "Mom, dad, who are these people." They said nothing and turned away. "Take the child, he might foil my plans." The man who seemed to be in charge said, he had black hair, with streaks of grey hair. He is also had green and red face paint on. He must be Krux. They followed his orders and picked me up and took me with them. After a while, my parents started to fight back the people who are holding us, are struggling against my parents.

While that was happening some one attacked Krux's army and took me. Great someone else kidnapped me. They had a hood and mask to cover their face. They took me towards somewhere in the woods. "Who are those people and why are they taking you?" The person asked. "I don't know, but they were taking mom and dad." I said not helping him.

"Ok, so how old are you?" This strange person asked again. "I'm 3 years old." I said to them. They inhaled and exhaled, and asked one more question, "What's your name?" "Jax." I answered. "What's your name?" I asked. "Morro." He answered. HOLY CRAP!!! IT'S MORRO. I thought as I freaked out internally. "From now on I'm taking care of you." He said carelessly. "How old are you?" I asked Morro. "Urm." He said then he looked like he was thinking. "I don't know, like 8?" He said. "So and 8 year old taking care of a 3 year old." I said while thinking about it. "What about my twin and younger sister?" I asked him. "How old is your sister?" he asked me. "She's two years old." I said answering his question.

"Your twin can take care of her." Morro said. "Why can't I stay and take care of them?" I asked. "Because those people might be after you, and I can't take care of 3 children." He answered half-truthfully. "Come on, we have to go."

As he said that we left. "Can I call you big brother?" I asked him. He stared at me for a bit before answering, "Sure whatever."

*time skip few weeks*

"Can I see my twin and little sister?" I asked Morro. "No, they might be gone or guarded or watched." Morro said harshly. "Can you please stop being so paranoid?" I asked rather annoyed. "No." He said annoyed as well. "I'm going with or without you." I said, leaving without a second thought. "Why didn't I leave him sooner?" Morro whispered himself. He followed anyway.

As soon as we got there, Kai seemed like he was looking for something. "Hey Kai, what are you looking for?" I asked. "I'm looking for something to eat. Now go away Jax." He continued looking, 3. 2. 1. "WAIT JAX!!!" He yelled. "Yep that's me." I said pointing to myself. He instantly pulled me into a hug. Then he slapped me. "Never leave us again." He said and then left. He came back and brought Nya with him. "Big Butter!" Nya said. "Hey Nya." I said in a very happy tone. She ran to me and hugged me very tightly. "We missed you!" Nya said excitedly, "Right Kai." Kai nodded. "Who's he?" Kai asked pointing towards Morro.

"He's someone who knows how to cook." I said, He looked scared and calmed down a few seconds after. "Yes, I do, BUT only a few things." He said. "Great, me and Nya are hungry." Kai said clapping his hands then rubbing them. "Morro, this is Kai" I said pointing to Kai, "and this is Nya." I said pointing towards Nya. "Nya, Kai, this is Morro." I said introducing them. He cooked us, or more like burnt an egg sandwich. After that small meal we left.

got it done, more detail, longer chapters. Me and 3 other people burnt paper on the 9th of May, I would say it was fun. (Hopefully we won't get caught.) I'm the youngest of the group and helped burn some of it. After that, I smelt like smoke after that so I changed my clothes. It's kind of weird, I'm a 7th grader and the other three girls are highschoolers. Edited May 20, 2023
