Chapter 2 The Truth

Ben and the strange anodite  were sitting by a fire with green flames  but Ben has so many questions going through his head as he wonder who is this strange being is and why has he been calling out to him.

"You have questions."

It was meant to be a question but can out more as a statement to Ben who is staring into the fire  with  curiosity in his eyes.

Ben asked," Who are you? What is this place ? Are you an Anodite ? why have you been calling me?" Ben looked at the strange being with  tone of derpsration as he needs answers  to why was he called by this being.

The being said,"  I have no offical name young Benjamin. This is home. I am not what you called an andoite. This place was once a lively planet until a certain point. I been caling you due to energy you wield." He  stared at the fire with his eyes  with a attentive gaze on his face.

Ben asked," You are not anodite ? Then what are you ? You mean Mana?" He looked at the being with curiousity.

The being stated," Yes  Mana.   Before  I tell you about what  am I. Let me tell you a story." He spoke in riddles making Ben raise an eyebrow.

The being spoke," Long ago duing the events  to you humans called  The Big Bang a being  far anicent  then even the galvans or any other races out here in all of space. The being had many names but he was called The  Spectrum." He places his hands into the fire casuign it to grow.

Ben 's gain an look of intriuge as he called hearing the word Spectrum from a   DC Green Lantern comic book but he kept quiet.

The being contuined," The Spectrum was the source of all mana. It was neither  good  or evil but neutral and fair.The  Spectrum other domain was the emotions." The being spoke as he kept staring into the flames.

The being spoke,"  Will ,  avarice ,  fear , rage , death , life ,compassion and love." He says the name of the  domains.

Ben is starting to compare to the  other lantern corps  from DC  comics for some strange reason but he is getting more intrigue about the backstory of the Spectrum.

The Being spoke," Regin over those emotions.When life was being created the Spectrum gifted every being emotions and concept about life and death."  The being played with the fire  causing to shrink.

Ben spoked," That is amazing. but I am wondering where is this being ?" He looked  the anodite like being with curiousity.

The contuined,"  When more lifeform was being created  the Spectrum decided to split  itself into seven entities. These enities were given thoughts ,  free will  , mana and they respreented the  domains that the Spetrum once ruled over."  The being looked at Ben who had a marvelous look on his face.

Ben asked,'' What hapened to these beings?"He looked at  green being with curiousity in his voice.

The being said," They went their own way and gave birth to races like the Anodites . Some became corrupted or other waited for their chosen inheritors such as myself ."He felt Ben stare at him with widened eyes .

Ben cried," You are one of the seven enittiys  ? " He looked at the green being with a  astonishment expression.

The being stated," I am and now to answer your previous question. I been calling out to you because  you , Benjamin Kirby Tennyson have show incredible willpower  and courage despite the obstacles you faced.  You have been chosen to wielder the  Will Mana." He stared at the emerald eyed young man who jaw dropped.

Ben asked," Me. Chosen to inherit this Will Mana? Why me? I  am reckless! "He recalled Azimuth calling him reckless.

The being stated," You are not  reckless. That fool who called himself  The First thinker has obviously grown senile and arrogant. It your  so called Hero of a cousin who is reckless and undeserving of the perverted mana she wield along with your foolish grandmother who has perverted the teaching of mana ." He spoke in tone filled with firmness and fury.

The being spoke,'' You Benjamin Kirby Tennyson of Earth  have potential to be hero that better then your arrogant cousin." He looked at Ben who looked taken back by the statement from the being.

Ben asked," Me ? A hero ?" Ben looked at the being with astonishment on his face as he thought his long desire to be a hero.

A true hero not a fake one like Gwen who does heroics  for fame and to lord it over people but a hero like Captain Nemesis who wants to protect the innocent.

But after being exiled from earth , being falsely accused by his government and betrayed his family has  caused Ben to feel reluctant to be anyone hero. His family turned his back on him but Ben never considered them family.

Family never ignored one kid in favor of another child. Ben stop seeing Sandra and Carl his parents as they would always compare him to Gwen.

His grandmother was worse as she always favored Gwen and when she gotten mana welll...  Verdona could be found at Gwen's backside at all time.

Ben begins to realized no matter what he does Verdona has eyes on Gwen being the perfect child.

Ben looked at the wreckage of his prisoner pod with a hateful expression on his face then he thought about the offer from the being before with a concern expression on his face as he takes a deep breath as he prepare to give his answer.

Ben said,"  I would like to learn more about the way of man and help me reach to goal inheriting the will mana that was created by The Spectrum." He looked at green being with a serious expression.

The being said,'' What would you like to know young Benjamin ?" He looked at the young brown haired male with curiosity in his tone,

Ben asked," When do begin?" He looked at the Green being with a curious expression as he wonder when will he begin training.

Note: Here is the new chapter of Emerald Knight and see Ben learned more about Mana and it origin as all mana came from a being called The Spectrum. The Green Lantern exist as a comic book character. I wonder how will Ben grow and become the hero that will uphold true heroics.
