Sirius (regs death)

Warning death.
Takes place while Sirius is his 7th year, reg is(was) in his 6th year.

Sirius pov
"Mr. Black?" I heard Professor Minnie say as she walked up to where I was eating breakfast.

"Hmh?" I replied with a mouthful of toast.

"Please meet me in my office after you eat." She said before quickly turning on her heel and leaving.

The hell does she want me for? I haven't done anything to bad... have I? No?

"Ohh your in trouble." Jamie said from across the table laughing.

"Shut it prongs." I replied while rolling my eyes. Though he probably was right. I was always in trouble.

"What'd you even do mate?" Rem asked me as I shrugged. He gave a sigh before going back to reading his book. Bookworm. Adorable bookworm.

"Ehh at least it's Mcgonagall., she won't be to harsh whatever you did." Peter said after a few minutes. Always looking on the bright side. Or at least trying.

After we all finished eating i headed towards Minnie's office.

I quickly arrived at her office giving the door two swift knocks before hearing a voice.

"Please come in Sirius.." oh shit. Whatever happened was bad. She never called me Sirius, always Mr.black or the other Mr.potter.

"What'd I do minne?" I asked walking in and shutting the door behind me.

"Nothing. Not today at least." She gave a slight smile before frowning. "Unfortunately I have some news."

Shit.

"What? What happened?!" I asked quickly as my eyes opened wide.

Was it Mr. and Mrs. potter? Did something happen to them?

No. James would be here to.

Warburga and Orion?
No, i would have seen it in the paper, and everyone would be talking about it.

Oh no.

That leaves only one person.
Regulus.
My baby brother. The one person I left behind.

"Unfortunately I have received word that your brother, Regulus Black, has indeed passed."

Not him.
Anybody but him. Please no.

"No. no." I felt tears start to fall from my eyes.
"Your-y-your lying. He can't be dead. N-no. No."

"Sirius please. I'm sorry. He died on behalf of Voldemort, he was drowned by inferi. I am deeply sorry for your loss." Mcgonagall said.

She kept on talking but I couldn't hear her anymore. I was frozen solid. I couldn't move. Regulus is dead. The person I swore I would come back to. The person I left in that wretched house. Not him. No.

I felt two hand on my shoulders pushing me out of the room. I don't know where. I don't know who. But I followed. I didn't have enough strength.

After a minute or so I sat on a bed, in the dorm room? I looked around to see James and Remus right next to me.

"Siri? Siri look at me mate." Jamie.

"Hey. Love calm down. What happened." Rem.

"He-h-he" i tried but couldn't. I just burst into tears. It was my fault. I could have made him come with. Should have made his come with. I left him there.

I failed him.

"Take your time love."

"Shh." Jamie said while rubbing my back.

"He-he-he's dead! Jamie he's dead!" I told him before crying even more.

"Who? Siri who?" Remus asked me. Though James new. The look on his face said it all.

"Re-reg reg. He died. I-I could have saved him. I should have taken him with me."

"What?" Remus said.

"It-it was my fault! If I just brought him with me-" I trying saying but was quickly interrupted.

"Sirius Orion Black don't you dare finish that thought. It's bullocks and you know it. It was his chose. It's not your job to save him. It never was! You were a kid. You are a kid!" James lectured me.

"I was his brother." I told him tears still falling from my face.

"Exactly not his parent. Honey you couldn't help him. He made his choice you made yours. His was just the wrong choice." Remus told me finally getting what was happening.

"Come here." James said hugging me tight against his chest, Remus doing the same on the other side.

I felt two hands push me down so I was laying on the bed then two body's cuddle up next to me.

"You'll be okay." James told me.

"He was my brother."

"Sleep. You'll feel better later." Rem told me and I listened closing my eyes.

"I failed him." I mumbled before drifting to sleep.
