"Amelie! Hurry up!" Quinn called from downstairs. "I'm coming! God!" she received in return. Quinn was taking her younger sister to a meet and greet for the Backstreet Boys, and they were on the verge of being late. "I'm ready!" Amelie said, grinning as she looked down at her outfit. "Okay, well cmon then!" Quinn rolled her eyes and grabbed her keys, holding them tightly in her hand.

Quinn couldn't help but feel excited, not for herself, but for her sister. Things had been extremely difficult, but her sister pushed through, for that she felt a great sense of pride.

"Quinn, look at all of the girls!" Amelie peered her head out of the car window, anxiously trying to find a place for her sister to park. Though they would get their turn to meet the band, if they were far behind then they'd wait longer, and spend more money they don't have on public parking. Quinn acknowledged her sisters comment, but remained silent as she gripped the steering wheel. After what seemed like an hour, they managed to find a small apartment complex nearby that had left their resident parking lot gate open, Quinn parked and prepared herself for mobs filled with hormonal teenagers and cheap merchandise waiting to be signed.

"Come on!!" Amelie squealed as she pulled the hand of her older sister. Quinn giggled, as she let herself be pulled. "Okay everybody! No unauthorized pictures of the boys, simply bring your items up to be signed and make it quick!" the security team repeated the same phrase over and over each time a new group of girls came up. Quinn heard screaming erupt from beside her and looked up, the boys were finally in view. "I'm gonna hurl! I'm so nervous! What if Nick falls in love with me? What if Brian fights over me?" Amelie rambled on and on, though her sister stopped listening.

"Are you ready girl?" Quinn looked at her sister and put on her best happy face. "Yes yes yes!" her sister screamed as she practically ran up to the long table. She first ran up to Nick, who was anxiously leaning over the table on his elbows, running his fingers through his hair, he began to smile when Amelie came in view. Quinn looked over at the other boys waiting for their turn to start their scripted and rehearsed conversation with every fan. After Nick, Amelie went over to Howie. The order was simply random, but it seemed Kevin was perfectly molded for the end of the table. He sat, arms crossed and eyes staring ahead in a blank stare. He did not seem mean, just tired, out of it. When Amelie finally made her way to Kevin, he swiftly snapped out of his trance-like state and smiled. "Hello young lady, how are you doin' today?" his Kentucky accent fought for dominance in his voice, though his LA voice was clearly winning. "Hi! I'm good! Can you sign this for me and write something cool and hip?" Amelie grinned and looked down expectantly at Kevin. "I sure can" he smiled warmly and began writing quickly on her poster. Quinn smiled at Amelie, she knew her sister would be talking about this whole thing for days to come, she'd like to remember her sister this way, happy and youthful. As Kevin was signing the poster, he shifted his gaze upwards to Quinn. "Would you like something signed as well?" he said, genuinely curious. "No no, I'm just here for my sister" she gave him a quick smile, his gaze lingered for a couple more seconds before he handed the poster back to Amelie and flashed her another smile. "Thanks for being a fan, I hope you have a good day!" he said, looking past her to glance at the amount of teenage girls he had to talk to after. He ran his fingers through his hair and looked up at Quinn one last time, he gave her a friendly nod and looked towards the next group coming.

"Did you see the way Nick looked at me?" Amelie was sprawled out on the living room floor, rubbing her hands all over the smooth poster the boys had signed. She was bopping her head to a CD she had playing next to her. "I sure did!" Quinn did not, but she knew better than to break her 13 year old sisters heart. "I swear, he fell in love with me" Amelie squealed as she got up and ran to her bedroom with her poster in hand, she was presumably going to put it up. Quinn sighed deeply as her sister ran off, she had been making dinner with the last of the food that was in the fridge. She opted for pasta-tacos, since she had remnants of both from past dinners. Although the combination sounded gross, the two sisters rather enjoyed it.

"That was amazing Nini" Amelie exclaimed, happily sighing and leaning back onto her chair, she rubbed her stomach in a circular motions, showing she was stuffed. "I'm glad" she smiled, at the fact that her sister liked her cooking, and at the use of her nickname. Quinn's parents would always call her "Nini", mainly because it was easier for Amelie to say when she was a baby. Though her parents were still alive, they might as well be dead. They worked all-year round in tropical places as scientists, taking samples of ancient creatures in hopes to revive them one day using a fill-in-the-blank method with DNA strands. Quite frankly, she thought their whole business was just a bullshit excuse to opt out of parenthood. Though they were absent parents, they sent money on the 16th of every month, though today was the 14th. Tomorrow they would have no food, so money would be forced to come out of Amelies college fund in order to keep her alive and well. Quinn thought of the prospect of taking more money out of her sisters fund and shivered, she hated her parents for making her do this, yet it had to be done.

The convention centre where the meet and greet was hosted was closing down by the time Quinn was tucking her sister in. Though she was 13, she loved receiving hugs and kisses before bed from her favourite (and only) sister. The convention centre's lights flicked off as the boys were packing up their things, slowly and machine-like. "I'm so tired, wanna go for drinks?" Nick tiredly grinned and looked up at Kevin. "Uhm, no thanks" Kevin chuckled and patted Nick on the back as he walked by. He spotted a glimmer of green on the floor, he leant over slowly and picked up a wallet. "Who's is this?" he sighed and opened it up, assuming a security guard had forgotten it. "Quinn Marshall" he read aloud in confusion, peering at the drivers license he recognized the girl in the picture. He had seen her earlier, the only girl who didn't want an autograph from him, the only of-age one. Though in her photo she was not smiling, he knew she had a nice smile from seeing her in person. He knew something about her that a random person wouldn't by looking at this photo, he smiled at the small detail but quickly snapped out of it. "Max, can you return this to the girl as soon as you're able to?"Kevin handed the wallet to his personal security guard, patting him on the shoulder. "Sure thing, want me to say it's from you?" Max winked as Kevin shook his head. "Sure" he shrugged, grabbing his bag and preparing to leave. "I'll see you guys later" he smiled and headed out the door.

The phone rang loudly just as Quinn was brushing her teeth, she quickly spit out her toothpaste and made her way to the kitchen and picked up the phone. "Hello?" she said, as cheerful as one can be at 11 PM. "Hello miss, I have a wallet here with your name on it." a gruff voice said. "What?" she said, confused. "You forgot your wallet at the Westfield convention centre" the voice said matter-of-factly. "Oh! Did I?" she said, still in disbelief. "...Yep" the man said, clearly tired. "Where can I come pick it up?" she got her pen and notepad out, ready to write an address. "I'm outside, I'll bring it in" came the voice. Quinn tensed up at the fact that an unknown man was outside her door. "Can you leave it at the door? "Yeah sure, take care" the phone abruptly hung up as the sound of a car door opened and closed outside. Footsteps came and went, as Quinn peered out of the blinds. She saw a normal looking man in a security outfit drop the wallet and immediately leave. She felt stupid for doubting this poor man, he was going out of his way to deliver something that she had forgot. Before the car door slammed shut, she opened her front door and waved. "Thank you sir!"He gave her a nod and was about to drive off, when the window rolled down. "Its from Kevin!" he yelled, "don't thank me!"
