The scans and the Fans!

Lucy's POV-

Today was the day for the first scan, I was so nervous, yet excited. It'll be the first time we get to see our baby. Nathan was meeting me at the hospital at 1:30pm, our appointment was at 1:55pm. He was in the studio with the lads. Nathan told the lads about the baby, the other day. They were really pleased for us. That means there is only the fans left to tell the news to. It was now ten past one, I was just walking through town, making my way to the hospital. Personally, when I look in the mirror, I don't think that I look pregnant, there isn't much of a bump going on at the moment. I just look like I've put on a few pounds. Since telling the parents about the baby,  I have become a lot closer to my Mum, she's given me loads of books that she had when she was pregnant with me. She seems to be excited that she's going to be a grandma. Well she's decided to be called Nanny or Nan, as she thinks Grandma makes her sound old..ha. Dad is coming round to the idea of having a grandchild, he has been coming around to Nath's more, and has been talking to Nathan better and treating him better than he had done. The weekend after we told the parents about the pregnancy I moved in with Nathan, I didn't realise just how much stuff I had, until I had to move it..well I mean, Nathan and Dad had to move. They wouldn't let me move anything, due to me being pregnant. The day after, me and Nath took a trip to IKEA to look for some new furniture. It turned out to be a stressful thing, first, we couldn't find a car parking space, second, it was packed, we could hardly move. Lastly, Nathan got stopped all of the time, by fans asking for pictures and autograph. Which I understand it's part of his job but it slowed us down. 

After spending a few hours walking round, we finally gave up, we only brought a couple of things. We got back to the flat and started sorting everything out. By the end of the evening, we had finished. I was shattered, and I hardly done anything. I ran myself a bath to help me relax, which done its job. It wasn't long before we were both in bed, fast asleep. I finally approached the hospital, to my surpise Nathan was already standing outside. He's usually late for everything. He was stood, leant against the wall, looking at the floor, with a beanie hat on, chinos and a jacket. He looked so hot...and he was mine, I smiled to myself before tapping him on the shoulder. He looked up instantly and a smile appeared on his face.

'Hey beautiful,' he greeted me before kissing me on the lips.

'Hey,' I replied.

'Shall we make our way to the scan?' he smiled.

'Yeah,' I answered before taking hold of his hand. We began to walk to where we needed to go. We got to the reception and the lady ticked off our names on the list, a bit like a register. She then told us that there was going to be a delay as the doctor is running behind. We nodded and went to find a seat, the waiting room was filled with pregnant women, I had a feeling that we were going to be here for a long time. An hour and a half later, we still hadn't been seen. I had read all the magazine's supplied and drank most of the water from the water cooler. I hated waiting around, Nath was beginning to get impatient. We waited for another half an hour, when a young nurse came out of the room,

'Lucy Stevens,' she called. At last. We both stood up and followed the nurse into the room.

'Sorry for the wait, it's been so heptic today, one of the doctors is off so there is only one in for the day,' the nurse apologised.

'Don't worry about it, it's not your fault,' I smiled.

'I'm guessing this is your first baby,' she replied.

'Yes it is,' I answered.

'How far gone are you?' she questioned.

'Nearly two months,' I grinned.

'Ok. I shall do all the checks I need to do, like blood pressure and so on. As soon as i've done that we can get on with the scan,' she explained with smile on her face. I nodded and read the name on her name tag..it was Anna. She started off by checking my blood pressure, which turned out to be healthy. After that, it was time for a blood test.
