The first time Ximena Vallarta felt the world shift off of its axis was when she saw her five-year-old daughter volunteer to play football with the boys in her neighborhood because they were one player down. Despite having never played football, or even dribbled a ball for longer than five seconds, her young girl effortlessly dominated the game against boys who practiced the sport of a daily basis.
