Alpha and Omega

Mate

He felt so warm. He couldn't remember when was the last time he felt this warm. And was that a breeze? He could feel a fresh smell coming from somewhere around him and hitting his face.
Kyungsoo's eyes were shut and he didn't want to open them since he felt safe and he was afraid this was just a dream.That he will wake up in a damp and cold dark room once again.If this was a dream he hoped he would never wake up.
Another sudden blow of the the wind brought another scent to his nostrils. This scent made him open his eyes.The room he was in was full of light. There was sunlight all around him,and he noticed he wasn't on the floor anymore. He was lying on a king sized bed on the softest sheets he has ever had the pleasure of sleeping on and the softest blanket was wrapped around him. But that wasn't the most important thing right now. He wanted to know where that scent came from so he propped himself up , wincing, because his left side was hurting so much ever since that guard beat him up the last time, and looked around the room.
His eyes immediately fell on a blond male sleeping in a seat on the other side of the room. His skin was tanned ,and his lips full and Kyungsoo thought how it would feel to kiss them. He shook his head at that thought.What was he thinking ,he doesn't even know where the hell he is or who that person is.
"But you do know." said a small voice in his head.
And somehow that voice was right. It was that person, it was Kai. His body was suddenly flushed with the same kind of heat he felt that time when he was being transported in that truck. He looked at the sleeping boy and felt his cheeks getting hotter. He didn't understand what was going on. But he was sure this was not a dream.
"No ." He thought. " I must be dead. Because this is better than any dream I have ever had. This is paradise."
He stood up from the bed slowly.His body ached when he tried to take a step forward. A moan escaped his lips and he saw that the blonde shifted his head a bit. He stopped in his tracks looking at the boy.

Then the blonde opened his eyes.

At that moment Kyungsoo felt his knees give up on him. And in the next moment he was falling.

Kai didn't know when he fell asleep. Last night was a blur to him. They took the Omega out of the cell. Sehun and Suho were going to take the guards to a secure location so they could try to get some information out of them and Chanyeol and Baekhyun were helping him with the boy. Kai sat in the back seat never once loosening his grip on his mate. He placed him over his lap and he carefully removed his jacket so he can place it over the small males body because he felt him shivering. He searched his face for any sign of discomfort but his face was so peaceful.
He admired the lines of the boys face. He admired his soft lashes that fluttered whenever Kai brushed his fingers on the side of his face. Kai couldn't help himself but to touch the soft skin. His heart felt complete. He never thought he would ever get the chance to feel like this.
But his blood boiled with anger, even through all the happiness he felt at that moment.He wanted to punish all the people that put the bruises on that beautiful face. He touched the boys plump lips with one of his fingers and saw a few cuts there. Some of them were older and some of them were fresh.
He will make all of them pay.

The ride to the apartment was silent. Kai knew that Baekhyun and Chanyeol were side eyeing him in the rear view mirror and then looking at each other. He saw the small smile that played on Baekhyun's lips and the way Chanyeol squeezed his hand over the shifter.
He knew they know who the boy is and for the first time ever since he has found out that he actually has a mate he was not bothered by it. He didn't care if others saw his gentle side or that they saw how this one person can make him this soft and this weak. He embraced this kind of weakness.
He pulled the boy closer to him and felt the boys heart beating next to his and he knew he wanted to feel like this for the rest of his life.
When they came to the apartment they carried him into Kai's room and Baekhyun offered himself to clean him up. Kai was not keen to leave him alone for one second but when Baekhyun said he needed to bathe him his cheeks felt like molten lava.
He helped him to the bathroom and left the moment he saw Baek removing the boys shirt. He made Baek promise he wont look at anything and then he sat on his bed waiting.
"Did I just made Baek promise me he wont look?? " he thought and actually slapped his forehead. " What am I?" his heart was beating so bad and he was feeling so hot all of sudden.
He couldn't look at his mate without his clothes on while he was asleep and not aware of anything that was happening around him. It felt wrong. Not to mention that Kai was never in a situation to see someone naked. He never had the motive to date, and he never really liked someone in a romantic way.
Baek called him when he was finished and Kai rushed in. Baekhyun's face was pained. He lifted the boys shirt to show Kai his back and Kai felt sick. Most of the pale skin was covered in old and new bruises. He felt his eyes sting but he didn't look away.
He took the boy into his arms as gently as he could and he carried him to the bedroom. He placed him carefully on his bed. The boy didn't move and inch. He was sleeping. God knows when was the last time he slept like this. On an actual bed.
Kai didn't want to disturb his sleep so he sat on the chair that was on the other side of the room facing the small figure.
He wanted to hold him. He wanted to lay beside him under the covers and erase all those bruises with his kisses. But he had time for that. He wanted his mate to rest now. The last thing he remembers before he fell asleep is how the boys face looked even paler in the moonlight, how beautiful he was.
Kai was pulled from his sleep by a soft moan. It made him shift and he felt his neck ache. He opened his eyes and looked at the boy who was now up on his feet walking towards him. He looked at the boys eyes and was taken aback by their clear brown color, his red hair that was lighted by the morning light from the window and then he saw how the boys feet shook.Kai was on his feat and beside him just before the boys knees gave up. He cradled him to his chest.
A few moments later he felt small set of hands enveloping his waist and his heart grew two sizes. He heard a soft voice whisper his name and he looked down to see the boy looking up at him.
"Well,since you obviously know my name, " Kai started and smiled removing one of the bangs that was covering the boys forehead " Can you tell me your own? " he asked.
The boys cheeks were flushed and he looked down again.
"Kyungsoo." he whispered. "My name is Kyungsoo. "
"Kyungsoo ," Kai repeated after him. He liked how that name sounded coming from his mouth, " Soo..." he said and he noticed how the nickname made the small male flustered so he chuckled again.
When Kyungsoo removed his hands from Kai's waist Kai suddenly felt colder without the warmth of his embrace. The boy shifted away a little so he could sit on the bed. He looked up at Kai again.
"Why did you save me? " he asked suddenly , his eyes wide brown orbs. Kai thought they looked like melted chocolate.
"Well I don't know what you know about the wolf world but you are... " Kai took a deep breath. "You are my mate. " he said and felt his own cheeks getting red. ˝I sensed you, sort of. It was your scent actually. I sensed it one night when I was searching for something and I knew from your scent that you were my mate, and I could also feel your fear. It was the night they were transporting you. Ever since that night me and my pack have been searching for you. ˝ he finished with an angry growl escaping his lips.
The boy made a small "Oh " with his heart shaped lips and the only thing Kai was thinking at that moment was how he wanted to lean down and kiss them.
"Do you know what that means? " Kai asked him ,˝I mean the ˝mate ˝thing?˝ he finished awkwardly.
"Hm... I guess I do. I mean, I went to college" he mumbled "I'm not that stupid." he finished.
Kai laughed at that but he stopped when Kyungsoo looked at him and his eyes were fierce.
"No, I didn't mean it like that . " he was quick " I meant do you know what it means in the wolf world? " he finished and he saw that the boys eyes softened a little.
"Well I think it means we are meant for each other right? Like soul mates? " Kyungsoo answered. "I stayed away from the wolf world as much as I could and I don't know that much about it. But when I saw you... No... " Kyungsoo continued " When I felt you that same night when you sensed me, the night when they were moving me to that basement I felt whole. I don't know how to explain it. It's not like I was incomplete my entire life but when I felt your scent something just clicked and I was more me than I ever was before,you know? " he asked looking at Kai ,and he seemed a little embarrassed.
"I understand completely. " he said and he kneeled in front of Kyungsoo so they were at the same level now.
"I have been looking for you my entire life and I've found you now. I will never let you go, you know that. ?" He asked and he saw how the pink color on Kyungsoo's cheeks was getting more visible. "Is that okay with you ?" he asked the boy thinking how cute he looks all flustered like this.
Kyungsoo looked into his eyes and even though his cheeks were flushed the look in his eyes was strong and it made Kai's heart beat race.
"That is perfectly fine with me." he said, and Kai new ,he could feel it in the strength of his voice, in the way that the boy touched his face, his thumb moving over his lower lip, that what he said was true, that he really meant it . He thanked the God that he was on his knees because that look alone would have made him fall.
"Can I kiss you? " Kai asked , his voice soft.
Kyungsoo was still looking at him .
"No. " he said and Kai felt his heart sink a little.
He felt awkward, maybe he read the meaning behind Kyungsoos words wrong? He was going to move away to give Kyungsoo some space because he didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable but then he felt two hands cupping his cheeks and the Kyungsoo's face was now inches away from his own. He could feel the warm breath of his mate and it did strange ,but good things to his entire body.
"No. You can't kiss me, " Kyungsoo said his eyes soft,and his heart-shaped lips forming a small smile "because I am going to be the one who will kiss you. "
Kai didn't even have a moment to figure out his words when he felt hot and soft lips on his own ones. He was taken aback, but just for a moment because the next thing he knew he was pulling the boy to his lap, and encircling his waist with his arms,holding him close.
He felt heat engulfing him when Kyungsoo deepened the kiss. He pulled him even closer and Kyungsoo's arms were around his neck now, while his legs were around Kai's waist. He felt like he was having a fever.A small moan escaped Kyungsoo's lips when Kai moved his hips a little and it made Kai shiver, almost made him lose his mind.They stopped kissing after awhile. They were both panting and Kyungsoo's eyes were half lidded,his face was flushed. Kai hated himself for what he was about to do but he didn't want to rush anything.They would have the time for all of it and he didn't want Kyungsoo to feel like he was just using him.
"I.... " Kai stuttered a little " Do you want to... I mean are you hungry ? " he finished looking a little embarrassed.
He saw how Kyungsoo's eyes went wide as if he was just seeing what he was doing and he removed himself from Kai's lap immediately.
"Yeah, I'm hungry." he answered and his voice was a little high pitched " I'm just going to wash my face and then we can go eat.Just.... Just a minute. " he said and hurried to the bathroom.

Kai stayed on the floor for awhile feeling the way his pants were a little too tight at the moment.

"I am probably the greatest idiot that has ever walked this Earth. " Kai mumbled to himself cupping his face with his hands.

"What is going on with me ? I don't even know this person and I kissed him like that. What is he going to think of me?" Kyungsoo was in the bathroom staring at his flushed face and his now red lips " I almost pulled all my clothes off. " he was whispering to his own reflection in the mirror.
He remembered the moment when Kai told him that he was his mate. When Kyungsoo heard the word it felt so right to him. That was the right word that described what Kyungsoo felt when he looked at Kai.
He knew the meaning of "mate " even though he didn't know anything about the wolf world. He didn't know how he knew it but it just clicked in his brain. The word rolled from his tongue as easy as it was for him to breathe air. And when he looked at Kai he knew that he was Kai's and Kai was his.It felt right.
Kyungsoo never really felt alone through his life but there was this part of him that always ached a little. A part of his heart that didn't feel anything, as in a form of romantic feelings. He never dated. He never even liked anyone before. But when he looked at Kai just now, when Kai embraced him that place in his heart was filled and it grew bigger. He wanted to be embraced by those hands forever. He never knew what love was before,but this felt like it.
"Damn it! Love or not love what will he think of me now? " Kyungsoo's mind screamed " I practically gave myself to him." he cringed when he thought what Kai must be thinking in this very moment.
Even though he felt embarrassed he couldn't deny that it felt so good. When Kai kneeled in front of him ,and those full lips were just so close to his own ,all he could think was how Kai's lips looked so nice and how would it feel to taste them. And when Kai asked if he could kiss him he lost it.
He wanted him so bad. He remembered how Kai pulled him on his lap and how he did that little hip move that made him moan.
Oh God... He actually moaned?! Could he be more needy?
Kyungsoo facepamled himself. Then he heard a soft knock on the door .
"Soo are you okay in there? " it was Kai.
"Yeah, yeah I'm getting out. Just give me a minute." he answered and got up from the floor. He quickly washed his face and then he opened the door.
Kai was standing there and Kyungsoo already felt the heat returning.
"The guys made us breakfast so we should go downstairs ,before it get's cold. " Kai was looking at him biting his lower lip. Probably a nervous habit, but it made Kyungsoo's heart do all sorts of acrobatic moves.
"Okay. " he said, not looking at Kai's face. He was worried that the wolf would see everything that was going through his mind right now and he really didn't want Kai to know that he was not that hungry at the moment, that he would rather return to the position they were in a few moments ago.He felt his heart beat increase once more.
The next moment he felt a hand enveloping his own and he looked up to Kai's smiling face. And in that moment all of his worries were gone,he knew then that he shouldn't feel embarrassed at all.

Because Kai was his mate. Kai was his love.
