"The higher you go, the harder the fall, and all that falls breaks."

-Someone who fell in love

Connor's entire body was shaking, and his breath faltered. Not surprising, considering he had been flying for over twenty hours overnight, not a single one of those dedicated to sleep. But he knew that wasn't the reason for him to be this way.

The reason he was like this, was that he was standing with worn out jeans, a sweaty grey t-shirt and green plaid shirt on, unbathed, unslept, in front of the person who had turned his world upside down in just a matter of days. In front of the person for whom he had just come out to the entire world through the internet. The person whom he had fallen in love with, and hadn't even known until a couple of nights ago, in between sobs and tears and longing.

Troye was wearing sweatpants and a white shirt. On his shoes there was nothing but loafers, and he looked like he hadn't taken a bath in days. His hair was messy, flat, and his eyes were blue like the ocean, and tearing up as he saw him. His eye bags were huge, and his skin was so pale. He held his cellphone with his right hand, but Marly had already hang up. He was in shock from seeing Connor there, logically. And Connor was in shock from doing this in the first place, but it had to be done.

Here it goes nothing, for real this time, Connor thought.

-"... I... I bought these, on the way here..."-Connor started, signaling towards the flowers-"I thought you might like them. I know that you're not really the flower type, but... I wanted to give your cinnamons because well, by now it's pretty obvious they remind me of you."

Troye didn't reply anything. It seemed like he was still having a hard time to believe that Connor was there in front of him. Jagga, his dog, was behind him waving her tail and Whimpering towards Troye dubitatively-even she didn't understand what was going on. That would've been hilarious in any other context, but not this one.

-"... I suppose that by know you've already seen the video I posted today..."-Connor said, looking down to his feet.

Troye put away his cellphone, slowly placing it inside his pocket. With a blank look on his eyes and a frown, he spoke.

-"Y-Yeah... I... I just saw it."

Connor looked back up at Troye quickly, a smile on his face. Even if Troye didn't seem to be happy one bit, Connor was.

-"I... I feel so much better now, Troye."-he admitted-"Like something that had been wrong all along... it's... it's finally gone. And I still have a hard time believing it..."

Troye still remained without saying a word. Connor loved the way the breeze blew his hair unto his face. It made him look like he had been taken out of a picture he would have definitely loved.

-"It felt so right, when I uploaded that... and believe me it took me ages to film it... for the first time I dreaded the filming a lot more than the editing, that was so quick in comparison... and... I can finally say that I feel at peace with myself. I can finally say that... that I think that starting now, I will truly be happy."

Connor stammered a bit on his own words, unsure of what he was going to say next. He had practiced a huge speech on the plane, on his way there. And he had had a huge lot of time to do that, too. That's all he had been thinking of, therefore the lack of sleep. But now that he was here, it felt so much harder.

In the end, Connor decided to just go with his gut, and say what he was truly thinking. Whatever he may do from this point on, it was the pure, rash truth.

-"But... But I'll never be happy, not while I leave this wound unattended."

-"... Wound?"-Troye asked, choking a bit on his words and on his tears.
