Not fair. (Ellie)

A/N: Ik this has been done so many times before but I love it so I'm gonna do it. Also, this is my first one shot with Ellie. (Italics are thoughts)
tw: Violence and implied cheating.

Ellie, (y/n), and Dina are out on patrol when a big pack of about a dozen clickers and runners attack them.

Ellie immediately pulls her pistol out and takes out the first three while (y/n) tries to cover Dina while she looks for a place to hide from the pack.

"Ellie! I found a way into this old warehouse! Gimme a boost." Dina shouts, and as Ellie runs to help her, (y/n) gets attacked from behind by a runner.
She finally pulls it off her and shoots it down just in time to see a bloater come out of the green bush surrounding them. It throws a cloud of fungi at Ellie and Dina, so she had no choice but to intervene.

As Ellie finally gets Dina up through the high window so she can open the gate from inside, she ducks out of the bloaters way and starts shooting at it with her shotgun.

After Ellie and (y/n) kill it they hear another hoard of infected coming, but Dina was no where to be found.

"Where the fuck is she?!" Ellie wonders aloud, anxiousness flooding her.

"I don't know but we need to get inside. I'll give you a boost in. I can take care of things out here just get that stupid fucking gate open." (Y/n) replied

"No. I'm not leaving you out here by yourself." Ellie stated

(Y/n) rolled her eyes. Whatever.

"DINA WHAT THE FUCK?!" (Y/n) screamed through the window. A faint "Hold on it's stuck!" Replies from inside.

"Well at least we know she isn't dead." (Y/n) mutters anxiously

As the first part of the board reaches them Dina finally opens the gate for them, infected on their heels as they ran under the gate that dropped just in time to save them from being torn apart.

"That was close." Ellie says

"Too close." (Y/n) adds on, glaring at Dina.

Ellie knew the two were into it with each other. Things were good before but ever since Ellie and (y/n) started dating Dina started ignoring (y/n). Even on patrols they were assigned to do together.

Ellie looks at (y/n) silently telling her to stop. She knew that girl couldn't keep her mouth shut if her life depended on it and Ellie did not want to deal with the two of them at each others throats.

Last time they got into it, it was bad. It was the night of the party and Dina swept Ellie away from (y/n) to dance while (y/n) was talking to her and Joel. In her drunken state, she kissed Ellie in front of everyone. Fortunately for her before she could do anything else she was met with several blows from (y/n)'s fist to her mouth then a switchblade to her neck. The only reason Dina was still breathing by the end of the night was because Joel and Tommy both pulled the other girl off before she could do much else.

Ever since then Ellie and (y/n) haven't said much to each other unless they were on patrol. Even then, they really only made sure the other was alive and continued on in silence.

(Y/n) just rolled her eyes at Ellie and started walking to the other side of the abandoned warehouse.

Ellie ignored her and went straight to Dina.

Behind her, (y/n) could hear Ellie asking Dina if she was okay. Turns out when she came in there were two runners and she got scratched and was bleeding, but other than that she was fine.

Once she got out of earshot from them she lifted her blood soaked shirt up.

She didn't notice at the time, but when she was grabbed the runner did a number on her. She had a huge gash on her side, but no sign of infection so that was good.
