Ronin's Shop:

"Hmm...ghosts, you say?"

Ronin had his back turned to us; despite being caught stumbling over his own words, he still wouldn't budge on giving us the scroll.
So much for word games.

"Yeah, they hate water," Cole explained over the shop owner's back. "but we're not looking for water balloons; we need something...reliable."

The thief zoomed over to the shelf I had been searching through earlier with a hum; he dug through some of the goods.

"What you're looking for is an Aeroblade," Ronin explained, pulling out a large weapon. It was triple-bladed, a sort-of boomerang-like shuriken with a green and yellow crest embedded in its center where the blades connected. "Forged by deepstone, an aquatic material mined from the bottom of the ocean. Very unique, even more expensive."

Kai growled.

"Can't you see he's giving us the runaround?"

The fire ninja ran forward, and pinned the owner against the shelf by his shoulders.

"We want the scroll, Ronin!"

"Kai!" I scolded.

"What do you want for it?"

"Two hundred." the man answered easy.
Jay choked.

"What?! Two hundred?! We don't have that kind of dough!"

Ronin shoved Kai out of the way with a smug grin.

"Come on," he insisted. "You guys once had the Golden Weapons; you're honestly telling me you've never pinched anything?"

"Not all of us." I pointed out.

Ronin raised a brow, looking between myself and the guys, who shook their heads in agreement with me.
The thief leaned an arm against one of the wooden columns near the shop entrance.

"So lemme get this straight," he continued. "You're saying that she--"

He pointed to me.

"-- one of the five Ninja -- has never had a Golden Weapon? Even though she has elemental powers."
He scoffed.
"I don't buy it."

"Although Bree has never possessed a weapon, she has certainly been able to control the four main ones herself." Zane explained, fixing his gaze on me. "Bree, didn't you once tell us that you turned Kai's Golden sword into its respective vehicle?"

"Yeah, but that was one time," I answered. "It was only to give Lloyd a joyride, back when he was little."

Another growl escaped the throat of our brunet comrade.

"This isn't about what she does and doesn't have," Kai chimed in once more, redirecting the focus to Ronin.
"This is about what you won't give us! And no, we don't pinch! We don't even have pockets!"

"What if we were to tell you all of Ninjago depends on it?" Cole piped back up.

"Well then," the thief answered, scurrying around the noiret.

"That changes everything; four hundred."

Jay choked a second time, hands on both sides of his head.

"You can't just double the price!"

"My shop, my rules."

The guys huddled together, to decide on what to do. I...stayed out of the way.
Admittedly, something about Ronin reminding us of how I never had a Golden Weapon sort of hurt, and it was getting me thinking.
