Red Floor

- Welcome , in this class about the 6 clans my name is Athena

I can't believe how many girls are in this class ...Twilight really ruined everything .
Studying those creatures shouldn't be seen as a romance novel. I study samples of blood to build a solid database .And they are looking for cute vampire boyfriends. I'm a curious person but I don't fully believe in those creatures. I'm only following my parents footsteps and becoming a specialist .I got weird blood samples before with anomalies I couldn't explain , they claimed they were vampires and werewolves . I laughed ofcourse any sane person would . My assistant in the lab believed them and they are friends now. I think he's crazy but that's my opinion , playing with mentals is not a great idea, just an easy way to die. Talking about weird people today, I have a meeting with Mr. Russo about Vampires living in Italie peacefully with humans without being undercover. But before going to that meeting Marcus wanted to talk with me .

*Leaving the college , on her way to the lab*

- Marcus, stop calling me every 10 minutes I'm driving , you want to be responsible for my death ?

- I think I know how vampires hypnotize their prey !

- Did you touch the samples of the German guy ? , Athena said with anger

- I did touch the sample because it's my job .

That genius touched the sample , I'm gonna kill him. He never listens to me ! Last time , Marcus thought he had the answer to why witches have different sources of powers . At the lab we have old books talking about creatures like nagas , werewolves and witches . In the books it was saying "... witches who were born from flowers will be gifted the earth ..." . When I showed up he was trying to fertilize flowers with human seeds . That man will never stop surprising me in a bad way . Athena was outside the lab waiting to get assaulted by a dumbass playing detective . She made her way inside when she heard screams coming from the lab . "Marcus, are you okay ?" screamed Athena . The silence was getting heavy and she thought he actually died this time . Entering the sample room she saw glass and blood on the floor .

- Marcus stop moving your gonna faint , said an annoyed stranger

- Bloody hell Marcus you brought your friend with you !

- Athena it's not what you think , Marcus said tears covering is face

The stranger got up , hands in the air like I was gonna shoot him . Athena asked who the stranger was and Marcus quietly said "the new employee" . She didn't remember hiring anyone , was he lying to save himself ? Angry, she looked at his badge "Kyle Anderson" . She didn't recognize the name either . The stranger finally talked softly he said , "Miracle Adams ?" .

That's the name of my mother , she didn't think warning me would be useful . I apologized quickly to the man embarrassed about the situation . I helped Marcus get up from the cold floor covered in blood and the stranger helped me clean the blood afterwards . Marcus was whining like a child in a corner holding his left hand looking guilty of murder . Athena carefully approached him "i have a meeting in an hour talk "

-Look I'm mad and on a tight schedule I'm not a babysitter , She said with a harsh voice

-I was excited to show you my discovery ,He said with a child-like voice .

-Time is running out Marcus

- Okay okay vampires can't actually do hypnosis they have an unknown substance over stimulating Estrogens, making women easier prey *Athena preparing to hit him * I mean humans are easier prey . The victim could easily escape but they submit to the extreme feelings .

- So what you're saying is vampires are just hot guys running around ? , Athena said a smirk on her face

Marcus is crazy at least is not trying his theories on me . Athena was annoyed because the more she thought about it , the theory was making more sense and could be true . Annoyed, she opened a drawer and threw the emergency kit at Kyle and said . "Patch him up , i have things to do". Athena was furious "How could that make sense " she said to herself . Did that stranger give him ideas ? Will Marcus put himself in danger again ? Athena was laughing remembering failed theories like that time when Marcus covered himself with raw meat and thought if he howled loud enough wolves wouldn't try to eat him . Marcus was in the hospital for 2 weeks and Athena cooked meals for him every day and distracted Marcus even if she "doesn't care " . Our Athena has a hard time with feelings !

*At the hotel*

Athena was questioning her decisions when she saw the interior of the hotel . The hotel was dominated by the color red , red chairs , red walls, red carpet . She asked the front desk clerk to call Mr. Russo down stairs , the small womens dressed in black looked at Athena with a disappointed look "he's mine" she whispered . Disgusted she sat on one of the weird shaped chairs looking around for Mr. Russo . After a while Athena got trapped in the jazz music in the background shaking her legs and softly singing out of tune . "Good evening , young lady i believe your are Athena Adams you look just like your mother " said Mr. Russo smilling . Athena still shaken up by this surprise entry she got up preparing to shake hands "Mr. Russo ?" The 80 year old pulled Athena in a hug and sat down beside her . "Call me Matthew sweetie "said  Mr. Russo . Athena calmed down after those weird interactions started asking questions about those vampires in Italie . Matthew confirmed they were people claiming to be vampires , rumors said they ate someone in the village . The old man got lost in his childhood stories from that small village and excused himself for being a typical grandpa talking about the old times . Athena saw an opening to ask about Magic Beings . After a while he told Athena about the fake immortality humans created about vampires . Vampires only live longer; they will die eventually . "The oldest vampire is 8 thousand years old," said the man . Their conversation got cut short by Athena's phone ringing . Her mom was calling, she excused herself, said goodnight and walked fast outside .

- Child, did you welcome the new employee and gave him tasks?

- Mother , I unfortunately was busy and didn't have time to cuddle your new toy. Marcus was bleeding and i had a meeting

- You ungrateful girl i don't understand how your father loves you

- I don't know either mother

Athena closed her phone and walked to her car exhausted from that weird day . An old man with dementia ,the weird lady being possessive , Marcus's theories, and the new employee . Why do I always find the most untrustworthy people to work with? " Mentals" Athena laughed
