[A/N: This one is about Bakugou learning Revite's identity. I played around with it a bit so there is a slow, though important, build up to the actual reveal. This was requested by like 20 people so I'm not going to tag them all but I hope those people like it. :) ]
Bakugou Katsuki owes a good part of his life to a man no one has seen in years. There was a time when he was young and stupid, his head clouded with misconceptions of how the world worked and his sights set on the wrong goal. He'd once believed if he pushed hard enough, things would bend to his wants. A series of articles picking apart people who thought the same showed him the ruined path he was heading down.
A change of course and more work than he's ever had to do in his life, and he somehow managed to never find his name plastered on the headlines of those articles.
So, he owes the good parts of his life to the writer - without them his name would not be synonymous with victory but rather disgrace, and he would lack this pride he carries with him like a reminder to keep pushing for better. He wishes to thank the man, but as he's said, no ones seen him in years.
Life pushes on with out his thank you's, he knows this. What is the word of gratitude from one person when Revite has millions who owe their lives, their careers, their rights to him. Katsuki is but one in a billion who wish they could tell Revite what he's done for them. It'd be silly to think he'd ever get to thank him.
So he follows the flow of life as everyone else does. He works hard, attending counselling bi-weekly, he looks out for every civillain on his patrols - no matter how small their issue - he tries to be the best husband there is, he makes sure to check on his friends, he calls out his colleagues when they're wrong, and he musters up the courage every fortnight to pick up his phone and call the person he's wronged the most.
It's hard some days, easier others, but regardless he keeps at it and hopes if Revite ever catches his name on the news or sees him in the streets, he'll think Dynamight is a hero.
Today is another one of those days, until it's not.
The morning starts off warm. His body is tired, aching where muscles were overexerted the day before, but he can ignore it when he sees the sun beginning to peek over the horizon letting light filter through his window and spill across the bedroom. In his chest, he feels a bubble of something and soft creep into his heart. Glancing to the side, he watches his husband sleep, red hair matted and utterly shitty especially when put with the unattractive strand of drool escaping the corner of his lips.
Katsuki grunts and kicks playfully at Ei's feet, earning a sleepy hum, before making his way to the washroom. His reflection stares back at him as he gets ready for the day. There's an accumulation of pale bits of skin - scars from victories and losses. A heroes markings, he tells himself and never dreads on them.
The first hour of the day passes as it does every other day. He makes breakfast, he tidies the living room, he curses at Denki over text for the dozens of memes he sent at three in the morning. Ei wakes up as Katsuki leaves for work, wishing him luck for the day before starting his own routine.
Outside, the world is alive. He gets a handful of greetings from civilians as he walks to work. He inclines his head to them, as goes with his brand. Acknowledgment, but not the small talk and chipper hello's he hates to have to use.
Every thing is as usual.
But, when he steps into his agency that changes. His sidekicks are running around trying to prepare for patrols and ease into the day, while Head Office workers filter in and out of the finance and statistic departments. With the annual information release coming up in a week, he expects them. What he doesn't expect, is to see a familiar man leaning against the wall outside Katsuki's own office. He spots Katsuki and gives a lazy three fingered wave before stepping into his room.
