Chapter Three, Introductions
I smiled and bowed as he said my name, mean while, deep inside my heart did one of those funny flippy things they talk about in books."It is a pleasure to meet you, Prince." I said it smiling, showing him I knew the correct name. "May I offer you my allegiance, and my protection? It would be an honour to do so, my Lord."
"Princess, if it is what you wish it is my command. Would you like it to be secret or would you like the world to see?"
I knew he was asking a hidden question, not many would pick it up, seeing as we were talking about allegiances.
But what he meant was, do want to do this in private or public? I answered an anwer my father would be extremely proud of. "I offer my allegiance for all the world to see, as you put it, though I would like to discuss this in secret."
Tricky tricky, I thought smiling softly to myself.
"Very well. Shall we begin?" he said, inclining his head to me. We doing a potent verbal dance, without paying anyone else attention, though being terriby aware of the fact they were there. The message was clear, hide how we were joined until we could figure a way how to say it without causing a pollitical scandal from his father, Apollo. Touchy gods... The helpful images in my head were providing a wealth of knowledge, and putting a lot of things in the clear.
"So we shall." I said, both of us equally formal. I extended my neck and left it vulnerable, to create a blood bond, so that my allegiance was clearly stated and also that we could always contact each other. He started stalking forward when I realised things I should have realised long ago.
"You're thirsty..." I muttered, wondering why on earth he hadn't fed. I smelt a psychic in this jumble. Probably the one we saw earlier."Now why, in the name all that is dark did I not realise this? After all we are very similar creatures, both drinking blood and such."
"How did you notice, is the question actually." he said, looking as though Santa was real after all.
I smiled and started staing some of the obvious. "You're an olive toned vamp, though you are terribly pale,
your eyes aren't the right colour, too pale as well. And the cat in me smells your hunger."
"No one else has ever done what you've done. Explain."
"A sentence is all it takes," I said with a flourish. "Know the thing you hunt."
"Very good. So you hunt vampires?"
"No, I hunt anything," I said, letting the emotion die from my eyes until the were ice cold clouds, and I let the joy of the hunt live in them.
He nodded and started coming towards me again, a little faster this time though. When he reached me, he put his hands carefully on my neck and bent it so my pulse was vulnerable. He first kissed the spot softly then, he carefully pierced my skin with his fangs. Colours exploded around us, I felt the "colour" of his mind, it was a whole jumble of colours, where most minds were generally one or two colours. It felt slightly pleasant, and I didnt want it to stop. I had started knowing what he was thinking, and it went somewhere along the lines of my blood being the best he'd every tasted. As he fed from me, we felt the grow in his Power, his skin started shimmering (as it should, all us vamps skin shimmers slightly!), his skin also adopted the more olivey tone its supposed to be. I was stroking the back of his head as he drank, and his hair was softer than a werewolf's, as soft as mine, really. I know he didnt want to stop but he did, and when he did, I felt a slight drop in magical powers, but nothing that should of happened for someone who was being a donor of so much blood.
"Wow," he said, leaning slightly into me. I realised everyone had gone out of the room, obviously giving us some privacy, I thought about them and found that they were enjoying tea and cake, really, at a time like this Dimitri could be in danger and they just go? Of all the gaurding techniques this was the worst.
"You liike it?" I said with a smile, atleast I taste good, even after a battle."Come I still need some of your blood before we can go."
He took off his shirt and I raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, it's just that us vampires don't have a lot of blood else where, okay?" he said.
I giggled, again, and smiled."Okay, don't tour boxers in a twist!" I knew he wore them from the blood bond, and thought well at least it isnt panties... I smiled even wider.
"Don't say a word, mi querida, I know that look from my own face." Now how did he know I could turn into a cat? I dont exactly advertise myself, but no matter. I lowered my face and nuzzled his chest and carefully let my delicate kitty canines pierce the skin above his heart, his blood flooded my mouth and suddenly the blood bond was complete.
His blood was pretty good, and I've had my fair share of blood over the years.
And you thought my blood tasted good? I thought, mentally giggling at him.
I love the sound of your giggle, mi querida.
I raised a mental eyebrow. Pet names already?
Yes, we are soulmates and know you love me.
WAIT A HOT SECOND, lovestruck guy! I dont even know you! But you do love me...
Yes you do know and love me.
No I dont.
You do!
DOOOOOONNNN'T!!!!!
Admit it you do.
No, you admit it.
You admit it!
No you!
Suddenly, Oh stop messing around you two! You have to get ready for the start of a new year dance!
Us two in unison; Huh?
I giggled again, but you're admitting it first.
Okay, he sent. You're on.
I tried to withdraw from his chest but he was holding me there, with a grip of iron. I giggled yet again at that thought, and he started laughing. He let me up only to grab me and start kissing me without any further ado.
The oly way you'll have mercy is if you admit. Besides neither of us needs to breathe.
I let him carry on, losing myself in the sensation of him kissing me. Again someone rudely interrupted us. And it was a very rude awakening
Next episode, Ziara meets the Cullens, and the story is about to become quite complicated
