Meredith took a deep breath before trying to open the light up inside of her. The sharp pain rode in waves through her body relentlessly getting pain fuller every second. Her breathing was becoming labored at last her sigil came out. Go to Ben she thought weakly.

Ben was sitting in the office reading a book when a purple monkey full of light but tinged with darkness came in screaming frantically. Immediately Ben sat up straighter, knowing something was wrong. Meredith’s thoughts overtook his own. Ben, honey keep yourself and Izzabelle. safe Ben frowned deeply and quickly asked... Baby where in the world are you. Meredith just simply responded I Love You always remember that always. And just as fast as her thoughts had come to him they were suddenly gone. As he watched her sigil scampering away the tears came to him. Ben sat there weeping bitter, grief stricken, and heart-aching tears.

Meredith closed her eyes as tears spilled onto her plump lips because she knew she wouldn’t be able to fight the darkness by herself. As the darkness consumed Meredith she began to lose her strength. One fleeting memory came to her, it was of her Ben and Izzabelle laughing at something under the stars at one of their midnight picnics. One last moment of happiness thought Meredith before squeezing her eyes tightly shut and surrendering herself to the darkness.

Ben stood up to go to the bathroom so he could freshen up. As he looked into the mirror he saw a man staring right back at him. The man had disheveled blond hair, watery blue eyes with lines around them, and a grief stricken face. They took her. They should have never let Meredith go into that place. My wife was ripped away not only from me but also from Izzabelle too. Maybe........she wasn't gone......just lost. "Impossible" he murmured to himself. It was just an irrational thought out of desperation. I'm not going to teach Izzy about the light...... I can't it's for her own safety anyway. Right? Ben knowing that he was doing the wrong thing and that Meredith would have strongly disagreed with him, but he just couldn't bring himself to teach his poor innocent daughter about the light not after what had just happened to his wife.
