Izuku's never been so nervous.
"How do I look?"
Ji-U, who'd offered to help him get ready before his playground date with Eliseo, offers a thumbs up and a bright smile.
It had taken them nearly two hours to get Izuku ready, despite he and Eliseo having stressed the day before that casual where would be best, especially considering their plans. Though initially, they intended for Eliseo to pick Izuku up after his shift at Evergreen, Izuku's coworkers convinced him to take the day off. It worked out that Beverly needed someone to take over her Sunday evening shift, and offered to take over Izuku's Saturday shift in exchange.
So, at Ji-U's insistence, she'd come over at 12 in the afternoon to help him get ready. It helped that, unlike Izuku, she had a unique and very pretty sense of style. Sunny had offered some of her accessories too, considering Izuku's wardrobe was still fairly bare and monochrome.
Eventually, they settled on a tight-fitted, cropped, sleeveless plain, dark sage green shirt and a black-and-white oversized flannel that came to a few inches above his knees that he left unbuttoned and high-waisted black denim shorts that stopped right by the flannel. Although mildly uncomfortable, Izuku agreed to wear the fishnets they borrowed from Sunny as well as a few of her silver necklaces and dangling, skull earrings.
Ji-U had offered to do Izuku's makeup for him, and, through multiple attempts at lining his watery eyes and a few insults yelled Izuku's way for his continuous flinching, he was sporting sharp, cat-eye liner, lashes lengthened and thickened with mascara, and sparing highlighter on the higher points of his face. She'd refused to cover his scars, though, making a point of emphasising how unique they were, and how they only 'upped his pretty factor'. Izuku would argue that he had none to 'up' if not for her glare.
Having only owned two pairs of shoes, Izuku decided on his black sneakers as opposed to his red, thick ones to better match his outfit.
"I'm amazing," Ji-U concedes, pulling out her phone and snapping a photo without notice.
