Astrid was changing into my school uniform when she got a message from her boyfriend travis.

She smiled and answered back a quick reply and got her bag, she left her room and ran down stairs where her mother and sister were having breakfast.
"Leaving so soon darling?" Her mother asked as she made toast, "Yeah, i'm meeting alexei at the bus stop." She replied grabbing the piece of toast her mother handed her, "Thanks ma." She smiled and kissed her mother on the cheek, "Come on Sarah we're leaving!" She said dragging her whining sister out the door, "I don't get why I have to go today i've got a headache." Her sister grumbled, "Because you got two weeks off already so let's go." Astrid groaned at her complaining sister,
Finally they reached the bus stop and there stood Astrids bestfriend, "Oh my god finally, you took forever." Astrid scoffed and grinned at him, "Don't be so dramatic, it was only a five minute walk." She laughed nudging him slightly, he flinched making her look at him in confusion, "Are you okay..?" She asked concerned, He smiled nervously and nodded, as she was about to open her mouth to say something he interrupted her, "Look! There's the bus!" He said laughing casually, "Finally it's bloody freezing out here man." Sarah said making the three laugh as they got on.
Astrids boyfriend sat at the back with his friends and as soon as he seen her he smirked, "Astrid! Over here!" She grinned at the sight of her lover and turned to alexei, grabbing his arm, "Cmon let's go over!" He quickly pulled his arm away and smiled, "You go, i'm gonna sit at the front and do homework i forgot to do." She looked at him confused.
"Are you sure i can stay with you if you want." She smiled, "No trust me it's fine on you go." He smiled at her, she slowly nodded and walked over to Travis and sat next to him, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her cheek, stopping to whisper in her ear, "Why do you hang out with that guy?" She pulled away with a frown, "Who.. Alexei?" She asked causing him to roll his eyes and nod, "Because he's such a good friend y'know, i can trust him with anything and he can trust me with anything." She shrugged a smile on her face as she looked at her friend.
She turned back and her boyfriend looked annoyed, "He's using you for popularity, Astrid it's so obvious." She looked at him and shook her head, "Alexei isn't like that travis just leave it, and leave him."
Travis' friends all chuckle from beside them muttering to eachother but she wasn't listening, she was overthinking what travis said.
Alexei isn't like that, why would travis say that about him??
Her thoughts were interrupted but the bus stopped, Travis took her hand but she let go of him and smiled, "I'm gonna catch up with Alexei." He frowned but nodded and she skipped over to her bestfriend, "Alex! Let's walk to class together i cannot stand Travis' friends." She scoffed making him chuckled, "Alright!" She smiled at him and they started walking to class, a group of people ran up to them and starting talking to Astrid complementing her outfit and telling her about all the stuff she missed out on, "What was paris like?" One of them asked, "Uh, yeah it was alright!" She turned to her bestfriend holding onto his bag so she could keep him with her, she leaned over to whisper into his ear, "Do you wanna leave these lot and first period?" He smiled and nodded, someone bumped into him roughly and they both turn around to see one of Travis' friends, "Watch it freak." He laughed in his face, "Fuck off David!" Astrid snapped making him scoff and walk away, "God i hate that prick so much, are you okay??" He nodded and the continued walking.
They ended up successfully skipping hiding outside, "Why are you even with Travis, he's such a prick?" Alexei asked looking at his bestfriend, "I don't really know anymore, all he does is talk to his friends and talk shit about mine." She scoffed and continued drawing, he nodded going back to what he was doing, "Do you think i should break up with him?" She said slamming her book shut, Alexei quickly shook his head, "Don't be silly! Why would you?" She looked at him, "It's so obvious you both don't like eachother!" She laughed, "So? Don't let me get in the way of your love life Astrid." He reassured her, "But your my bestfriend! I want you to feel comfortable around me when i'm with people and all he and his friends do is make fun of you and bully you-" "Astrid trust me! i'm a big boy i can handle myself." He smiled at her, she looked at him for a second before sighing, "Okay, but let me know if he takes it too far." He nodded looking down, she watched him suspiciously, "He hasn't took it too far.. right?"
He shook his head not looking at her but she nodded, "What are you doing tonight?" He shrugged, "Nothing much, home alone so.." She grinned, "Have a sleepover!! My mum will say yes! She loves you." He grinned aswell "Okay!!!"
