Chapter 2: Growing Feelings

Neteyam's POV

Layla- Nettey! Oh my Eywa! What happened!
~She looked at La'Reya~
Layla- Who's she!? Why are you laying with her!?
La'Reya- I'm La'Reya, and you are?
Layla- Layla! Neteyam's girlfriend!
~I rolled my eyes, Reya got up~
La'Reya- I'm sorry
~She left~
Neteyam- La'Reya!
Layla- Well, I'm glad your ok *She kissed me*
Lo'ak- I see you met Layla, she's Neteyam's girlfriend, she's a piece of work
La'Reya- Yeah...
Lo'ak- To be honest, he doesn't even want to be with her, but he doesn't want to break her heart, she's controlling of him, very controlling!

Neteyam- Wanna go train Reya?
La'Reya- Yes! *She smiled*
~We left~

Neteyam- Ugh! A year! I've tried so many times to get out of it but she won't let me!

Neteyam- Someone who's nice, caring and good with bow and arrows and good looking *I stepped closer* and has a kind heart, and is a genuine person kinda like you...

Neteyam- "What the hell are you doing Neteyam! You have a girlfriend! But she's nothing like the girl in front of you! Fuck! Was I growing feelings for the girl I was training!? Now kissing!?"
~La'Reya pulled away~
La'Reya- Neteyam, let's train! *She smiled*

~I handed her the bow and arrow and stood behind her, close~

~I took her to a small cave in the mountains, we climbed of course~
Neteyam- This is my spot, Layla doesn't know about this place
~There was a bed in the cave~
La'Reya- This is nice *She smiled*
Neteyam- This can be our spot if you want?
La'Reya- I'd love that! *She smiled*
~We headed back~
Layla- Where have you been!
Neteyam- I was training La'Reya!
Layla- Ugh! Not her again! Nettey! I don't want you training her anymore!

Jake- Neteyam?
~My dad had a look on his face~
Neteyam- What? Why are all you looking at me like that?
Neytiri- Son? Your friend, Kasey, she passed away

Jake- Son, her mother called us and said that she was too sick, it spread through her body and she passed away a few hours ago

~I ran in my hut and closed it~
La'Reya- Who's Kasey?
Jake- She's Neteyam's best friend, they've been friends since they were kids, she got moved to a new clan and they couldn't see each other anymore
~La'Reya knocked on my door~
Neteyam- Go away! *I sobbed*
La'Reya- It's me
Neteyam- Come in and lock the door *I sniffled*
~La'Reya came in and locked the door and as soon as she did I bursts into tears~
La'Reya- Oh Kitty! I'm so sorry! *She came up to me and laid down next to me*
Neteyam- She was my best friend! *I sobbed*
La'Reya- I'm so sorry!
Neteyam- Can you stay?
La'Reya- Yes! I can!
~La'Reya started softly singing~
La'Reya- Come my darling, we can fly away from here, we don't need anyone or anything just the two of us, come my darling *She sang*
~I closed my eyes, her singing was beautiful~

- That Night -

Lo'ak- Um dinners ready
La'Reya- Ok
Neteyam- I'm not hungry *I turned over*
Lo'ak- Neteyam, you gotta eat, I know your grieving but you can't not eat
La'Reya- Why don't we just leave him right now
~They left~
Layla- Where's Neteyam?
Lo'ak- He's not coming
Layla- Why!? I mean I get his little friend died but he'll get over it
Lo'ak- Wow! Just wow!
Layla- What?
Lo'ak- You know if you actually cared for him you'd validate his feelings!

Layla- I just don't get why he's grieving over someone he never saw or hung out with

Jake- Where's Neteyam?
Lo'ak- I don't know, probably in his hut
~Jake knocked~

Jake- Can I come in?

~Jake opened my door~
Jake- Oh! Neteyam! What is that smell!? *He plugged his nose*
Neteyam- Probably the mix of me not getting cleaned and my sadness
Jake- Ok, why don't you go take a shower and I'll clean your hut?
Neteyam- Ok
La'Reya- How is he?
Jake- Not good, I think he's depressed, which I get
La'Reya- Want help? Cleaning?
Jake- Sure
Layla- What are you guys doing? *She scoffed*
Jake- Cleaning? Wanna help?
Layla- Uhh no! Why's his hut even so dirty!?
Jake- Maybe cause he lost his friend and he's depressed!
Layla- Depressed!? Come on you can't be serious!? Depression isn't a thing! It's just an excuse for people to be even more sad!
Jake- Uhh it's very real! It's called Mental Health! And depression can be scary for those around you! You hide from everyone, not talk to people, wanna be alone, random episodes of anger, there's a lot more!
La'Reya- It is real! I've dealt with it myself and it's not fun!
Layla- Oh my god! You guys are insane! My Nettey is not depressed!
~I walked in~
Neteyam- What are you guys doing?
Jake- Cleaning your hut
Layla- See! He's fine!
~I looked at her oddly~

~I left, I got on my Ikran and left~

La'Reya- I've dealt with depression, it's not fun

La'Reya- Yeah! When my dad left and when I got kicked out of my clan
Neteyam- I'm sorry
La'Reya- It's ok
Neteyam- This just hurts so bad Reya! And I hate Layla for not caring! *I sobbed*
La'Reya- I know, but you don't need her! You have me! *She cradled my cheek and wiped my tears*
~I leaned in and kissed her, she kissed me back~
Neteyam- Can you sing that song? *I smiled*
La'Reya- Of course *She smiled*
~We laid on the bed~
La'Reya- Come my darling, we can fly away from here, we don't need anyone or anything just the two of us, come my darling *She sang*
~We laid down all day just enjoying eachother's company, then we went back to the caves~
