Mai groaned out loud as she trudged down the dark hallways of the school. It was already 10 in the evening and she really wanted to sleep, but she needed to take revenge on Yenne for embarrassing her and making her look like a coward in front of the students. She adjusted her backpack which held her 'surprise' for Yenne, and Mai smirked when she thought of the freak's face when she sees this. Her eyes strayed down the locker numbers in the far east wing of the second floor of the main building, 101... 102... 103...
"Yes, 104!" Mai cheered in excitement, but promptly covered her mouth since her voice might wake up some students and teachers... or ghosts. She quickly made her way down the locker, and took out a piece of paper. It was a good thing the janitor was gullible. All she needed to do was lie a bit to get what she wanted; the master key for all lockers. Taking out the keys from her skirt pocket, her hand accidentally slipped making the keys fall on the ground with a rather loud clang.
"Kyaaa!" Mai shrieked, covering her ears as her heart pounded inside her ribcage. She opened one eye, and sighed in relief. It was only the keys. Mai looked around her to see if there was someone else with her and fortunately, there was none. "That almost scared me to death..."
"Hello."
"KYAAAAA!" Mai shrieked again, this time more loudly. A bright light shone upon her as she brought up her hands to shield her face. She panicked, slamming against the lockers making more noise. She slid down to the floor, shivering in fear. "Please! I-I wasn't doing anything! H-Honest!"
