Part 28 (last part)

Previously

Nino's POV:

"What if she hates me Nino? What if she hates me because I couldn't protect her?" Adrien asked, his head bent down and his fists clenched.

"Marinette would never blame you Adrien, I assure you on that" I tell Adrien in a firm voice.

"But-"

"So trust your best friend for once and get in there" I nudge Adrien to go inside the room. He goes in and I follow behind.

Marinette looked beat, the doctors did a good job but it couldn't cover up everything, but she was way better than the last time we saw her at the godown.

I saw Adrien and he just started at Marinette, then walked slowly over to Marinette's side and sat on the bed next to her.

Deciding i should give them some space, I told Adrien and left the room to go inform everyone else.

Presently

Adrien's POV:

As i sit next to Marinette, i take her hand in mine. I talk in a low voice, hoping she could hear me.
"Hey Mari, it's Adrien. Get up and get well soon so we can go have ice cream together, yeah?" I say, chuckling. 

"I'm sorry i couldn't come rescue you earlier, but i promise i'll always be with you in the future, by your side, protecting you from creeps like those"

"Please wake up soon, i beg you" As i say those words, i could feel tears rolling down my cheeks falling onto Marinette's palm. I look at her palm and grip it gently but firmly.

"So, when are we getting ice cream then?" I heard a hoarse voice speak. My eyes widen and I look up in an instant which almost gave me a whiplash. But the sight was definitely worth the whiplash. There sat Marinette, smiling it me with a shimmer in her eyes even with the pain she's in.

I've been waiting for so long to see that smile.  

"Oh well, sorry for keeping you waiting" I heard her say.

my hands instantly cover my mouth in realization. "I said that out loud didn't I?" I question, even tho i know the answer to it.

"Yes, you did" she said, laughing softly, her voice still sore. I stood up and gave Marinette a bottle of water. She thanked me drank the water. 

"Forgot me already blueberry?" me and marinette look at the source of the voice to see Luka, Gabriel, Alya and Nino standing at the door.

Third person POV:

As soon as Luka stepped in the room, marinette grabed medical scissors from the table next to bed and threw them at Luka for which he caught them perfectly. 

"What took you so long you idiot?" questioned marinette almost irritated. "Hey! don't blame me! I did find you in the end!" Luka argued. "Technically, Adrien found marinette, not luka" says alya for which she gets nudged by nino. "what do you have to say for that now luka?" marinette questions luka again, an eyebrow raised up in an intimidating manner. "well-" luka starts but gets intrupted by gabriel. "Enough all of you, now all that's important is that everyone is safe and that's all that matters" Says Gabriel in a firm voice. "Yes boss!" comes all the five's reply followed by a salute. 

gabriel goes and sits on the chair next to marinettes bed and asks, "How are you feeling now marinette?" for which, marinette responds "i'll get better in no time" gabriel nods in response and gets a call. He gets up and walks out to answer his call.

"marinetteeeeeeee" alya rushes to marinette and hugs her. "alyaaaaaaaaa" marinette hugs her back. "don't you ever scare me like that again, got it?" says alya. "Yes ma'am" comes out marinette's immediate reply. "i'm glad that your alright dude" says nino. "thanks nino" marinette replies with a smile and breaks hug from alya. 

luka goes and hugs marinette next "don't ever keep me waiting like that again, alright?" says marinette while hugging luka. "will never happen again, i promise" luka replies and pulls back from the hug with a smile.

"Well then mari, lets get ice cream day after tomorrow then." adrien says with a smile but marinette frowns, "but why not now?" she questions. "because youve still gotta rest up a lot."
"i'm fine" marinette tries to arugue. "day after tomorrow, that's final" states adrien. "fineee" says marinette, rolling her eyes and everyone laugh whole heartedly.

fast forward time

marinette and adrien get married, and have 3 pet hamsters

nino and alya get engaged

luka and chloe start dating (surprising, i know)
