The End of the World as We Know It

If someone told me the world was ending
I'd turn to them and say
"In my eyes it's ended many times
but here we seem to stay"

If they told me the end was tomorrow
I'd offer my words of comfort
"For if the world is ending
I'll be sure to bring the dessert"

If someone tells me I do not understand
I'd simply respond to them
"Do you have a better plan"
