Why is Love Important? Part 2

Note: Yes I am alive, I've been busy being sick and having school. It isn't fun 🥲 Also this part might be a bit longer since I want it to finish in 2 part's. Anyways onto the story!

(Y/n)'s POV:

It was now lunch, the castleteria was filled with more people now compared to this morning. I was sitting at my usual table as Celest came over with Raven and Maddie. "Hey girls," I said as they had sat down, Celest on my right as the other two sat in front of us.

"Hey (N/n)! I didn't see you at Chemythstry, where did you go?" Raven asked as she started to eat. Celest raised an eyebrow as she wasn't aware that I skipped a class.

"Oh... uh- I was helping Cupid?.." I told her, almost questioning myself while doing so.

"Really? That explains why Cupid was being hat-tastic in Tall-tale studies," Maddie told us as she was sipping her tea, "She looked she was in the bestest of moods since you know." Maddie was mentioning the Dexter thing again. Raven winced at the thought, remembering what had happened.

For those who aren't aware, Cupid was into Dexter but he was into Raven. Cupid had tried to get Dexter's attention but he was far too in love with Raven to even notice her. So she helped him out and soon after Dexter and Raven had started dating. Now though, they aren't together as Raven had lost feelings for Dexter.

I was deep in thought as I was thinking about Cupid, ever since this morning she's been on my mind. I didn't even notice Celest trying to get my attention.

"Hello??? Earth to (Y/n)," Celest was waving her hand in my face as I finally snapped out of it. I looked at her confused, "You were mumbling something about Cupid" she said as she wiggled her eyebrows at me, causing me to blush.

"Um.. w-well you see.. I was just-" I was cut off as Dexter sat next to me. Of course I was confused because I never really talked to the guy.

"U-uh hey guys," Dexter greeted us as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I need your help," he said as he looked around nervously.

Raven raised her eyebrow at him and asked, "What is it Dex?" Even if they weren't together the two of them were still on good terms.

Dexter looked at her and took a deep breath, "Well... you see I want to ask Cupid to the dance tonight... but I know I screwed up when I rejected her before..." Oh yeah forgot to mention, shortly after these two got together the truth got out of Cupid liking him. Well I guess now it's the other way around.

Celest choked on her food as she had heard what he said, "Actually?!?" She half shouted as students looked at us. She quickly apologized to them before going back to Dexter. "You know she is like way over you right? Hell she even said she was into a new person-" she cut herself as she covered her mouth.

I looked at her confused and felt a little hurt but I didn't know why. I was going to ask her what she had meant until someone else spoke, "Hey guys!" I looked over to see Cupid walking over to us.

I smiled at her as she smiled back, as she was going to sit down next to Maddie,but Celest said "Hey Cupid, come sit next to (Y/n)!" She scooted over to make space for her as she patted the seat. Cupid agreed as she came around and took the seat between us. I looked to the right, where Dexter was at, seeing a flustered and nervous Dexter.

"Uh.. C-cupid, mind if we talk in private? I need to ask you something," Dexter said as he stood up. 'Okay why didn't he just say something before she sat down? His dumb for a smart guy' I thought to myselff.

Cupid had looked hesitant as she had agreed to it as she stood back up and followed Dexter out of the castleteria. "We didn't even give him any advice and his already off to ask her, well she likes someone else so this should be interesting," Celest spoke as she sipped her water.
