In a small town in Washington, called Forks, they had a three categories of people. Category A: Humans. Normal ole humans living out their days with normal ole thoughts. Category B: Vampires. Vampires weren't as common in Forks, until recently a seven member 'family' called, The Cullen's, moved back into town. They were a family full of vampires. Carlisle kept them safe and protected. He took care of them, changing them from town to town after a few years. The strange thing everyone sees in this family was that they were couples. Even though they was all 'adopted' by the same man, they dated one another. Each of them had their own significant other who they dated for many, many years, all but Edward, who recently began dating a human.
Category C: Werewolves. Werewolves were very common in Forks, even if no one knew of them. There were centuries, possible millenniums, of the werewolves line going back.

Two, seventeen year old girls was trapped in the mix. Bella Swan was a human, who urged to be a vampire, along side of her vampire lover, Edward Cullen. But Edward didn't want it that way. He wanted Bella to live out her own human days.

Alaina Miller was also human. She didn't want to be anything other than human. She couldn't see herself as a vampire, nor a werewolf, even though her father and lover was one.

Her father, Chayton, and her mother, Lindsay, left Alaina with her grandparents, Sandra and Sidney Thompson at the age of five. She had hardly any contact with the two as they traveled the world, all she'd hear was a 'hey', every now and then when they called her grandparents. Alaina never understood why she was abandoned, but she stopped trying to make sense of it all. Now she used her time to try and torment her grandmother, with Bella and the Cullens, or with her imprinted mate, Embry Call, whom she loved very, very much.

As Bella always had done, she waited outside Alaina's house to drive her to school, in her red 1963 Chevy StepSide C-10 pickup truck.

"I'm heading to school!" Alaina shouted to her grandparents in the kitchen as she ran down the stairs. Before she could walk out of the house, she got a nose full of a horrible stench. "God," she held her nose, "what is that awful smell?"

"What smell?" Grandma Sandra asked. Sandra was still an older woman. She had a lot of gray hairs growing through her brown now, with her same baby blue eyes. "I don't smell anything."

"I don't know." Alaina looked around. "But I can't deal with that smell. I love you both, be back soon." She sprinted out the door, getting inside the truck with Bella.

Bella still had her reddish brown mix hair which was three inches longer now, with her eyes her natural brown.

"Happy birthday, Bella," Alaina smiled.

"You too?" Bella sighed. "Dads already given me a present, even after I told him not too."

"Really? What'd he get you?" Alaina shut her door.

"A camera." Said Bella. "Which wasn't a bad gift, but still, I don't want gifts. I don't like my birthday."

"You're such a buzzkill." Alaina turned up the radio, hoping for a good song.

"Another missing hiker brings a total to three presumed dead. Rangers are searching for the killer animal—"

Alaina switched the radio station annoyedly.

"I'm so sick of hearing about this." She said with a hint of anger. "I'm just ready to kill that blonde woman and get it over with."

"Are you okay?" Bella said with a slight smile.

"Yeah." Alaina sighed. "Sorry. I think my period is coming. I've been a little too stressed lately."

They arrived to the brick building with many different sized windows covering half of the outside walls of the Forks High School. The parking lot pavement was still wet from another rainy night.
