The door slammed open, and he walked in. An evil grin on his face, reminding them of an evil villain from a Disney movie. His breath reeked of alcohol, and his eyes were bloodshot, they knew this would be like every other night, the daughter cowering away to her bedroom, and her older twin brother, sitting with her tell she fell asleep.
Their mother, to scared to do anything, except cower away like her children. On the outside, they seemed like every other 'normal' family. But on the inside it was the total opposite. Anyone could say it was like a routine, their father coming home drunk, and the rest of the family isolating themselves, hoping for their father not to be in a bad mood, which he usually is, and then abuses them.
Their mother eventually took a stand, and took him to court. The father was imprisoned for 25 years. To the family, that didn't seem enough. The mother, became successful, opening a huge business, and making lots of money. Them never regretting ever sending their father to prison.
