Naomi's Pov:
I ran around the house grabbing anything I can deem useful. The house became an organised chaos as everyone was filling their bags with food and supplies,
"Ready to go?" I yelled. Dan and Phil came down the stairs holding hands, something positive came out of this then. Joe helped Zoe down from the table as she limped towards a bag I was holding out for her. I lifted up a blanket to uncover a sleeping Nala on my couch, "Why hello little one." I jogged to the kitchen, pulled some string from the drawer and tied it to Nala's collar. I handed a knife from the cupboards to everyone but Zoe, it was our job to protect her.

Alfie's Pov:
I took Nala's "lead" and walked over to Zoe. I looked her up and down and smiled, I wrapped my arm around her waist and supported her as she hobbled. I noticed Dan and Phil, stood there, holding hands. I winked over at them as they smiled and looked down. I threw Phil a bag full of food supplies and Dan a bag of medical supplies. I looked over to see Joe sobbing over Caspar's body, he was a broken man. He'd lost his everything, his best friend. I almost lost Zoe, I don't know what I'd do with myself if I lost her. Marcus peered through the blinds and held his hand out to stop us from moving. Everyone held their breath in fear,
"They're everywhere."
"But it's light!" Phil whimpered.
"I guess they're not like the ones from our Gaming Channel Phil." Dan cradled Phil I'm his arms and held him there. Zoe wrapped her arms around me and cried silently, her tears soaked my shirt as the room fell quiet.
"We have no choice, Marky. We need to go now. Especially when we are carrying a body." Naomi was right. Joe burst into tears, he clung to Caspar and sunk to his knees. Suddenly there was a thud, everyone jolted up as a fist hit the door...

Joe's Pov:
No one flinched. No one even blinked, hoping that it would go away. Oh no, it was here to offer us well wishes! Marcus turned his head to me slowly,
"They're here for the body."
"We can't leave him!" My eyes bawling.
"It's too risky, Joe. They'd kill us all." Dan stepped forward to comfort me but I pushed him away,
"NO! I won't let them take him! NO!" I ran to the kitchen and fumbled around in the drawers, in my rage I felt a cold blade touch my arm but I continued to pull out every drawer until I found a lighter. I grabbed a bottle of Vodka from the cupboard and hurdled back into the living space and held the lighter in the air.
"Joe what're you doing?!" Phil yelled at me.
"I won't let them take Caspar, he deserves to be dignified not a living dead bastard like those out there!" I was dribbling and crying as I poured the alcohol onto the sheet and flicked the switch of the lighter.
"Joe, stop!" Zoe screamed as I dropped the lighter onto the sheet that Caspar was under and the whole thing set alight immediately.
"What've you done?!" Dan barked.
"We need to get out of here now!" Naomi ran to the door followed by the rest of them, she jammed the key into the lock and the door flung open, the back exit was clear and they ran away from the burning house.
Drunk on sadness and on the brink of madness I howled as I watched the rest of the room start to catch the flame. The thuds on the door got louder as more of them were attracted to the fire. "You're just gonna kill yourselves." I mumbled into the flames, "God knows that's what I want to do." The wooden beams creaked as the floor boards surrounding me were lighting and drawing closer to me. The beam supporting the ceiling came crashing down, smashing tables and chairs, I held my arms out and closed my eyes. The ceiling fell through and the air was full of dust and smoke, I coughed over and over until I could no longer breathe. Then darkness.
