3rd person POV
The two robots under that statue awakened. One stared at the other blankly. He lifted the statue up just enough so he could get up.

Once out, he pushed it so his brother could get up as well. "What has happened?" He asked, glancing around at his surroundings.

He stared at his palm. "I'm sparking, is that normal?" He added. He noticed a spark coming from his brother's neck as well.

"Are we damaged?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. His brother turned to him. "No, why do you ask?" He began to walk around.

Y/N woke up. They must've heard the sound of the two robots. They opened the lid of the dumpster a tad, so they could see what was going on.

They were definitely there. But luckily, they were not that close. That gave a chance for Y/N to sneak out and run away.

As Y/N was about to dart, they realized how empty their stomach felt. They hesitated, but decided to grab something to eat.

They carefully walked towards the entrance of the building. They stepped inside, looking for at least a granola bar or something.

As they approached a shelve with scattered snacks, they stepped on something that made a loud *pop*.

The two robots appeared to have heard it. "Human," One of them shouted.

He lifted up his arm, about to blast the shit out of Y/N.

"Wait, STOP!" Y/N hollered.

The robot's screens turned into a bright green. "Okay!" Both of them obeyed. The two exchanged confused looks, as if they did that un-willingly.

Y/N just stood there. "Oh my god, you're defective." They realized.

"They know too much," One of them whispered. The other slapped his face with his palm. "We are—we're not defective." He paused.

"We're not even. . ." He nudged his brother with his arm. "We're not robots." His brother finished for him. "Just humans, like you."

Y/N stared at them blankly. "You seem. . .dumber than the other robots." They muttered.

"Brother, we should go." One said, grabbing his brother's arm. They were about to take off until Y/N stopped them.

"Don't—I order you to stop."

"Okay!" They did so.

They both turned around. "Uh, we are only stopping because we chose to." One excused. "No we're not." The other interrupted.

He grabbed his head and tilted it up and down. "We are humans," He began. "We are." His brother added.

"For example, we consume food in the traditional human manner." He bent down to pick up an orange. "Observe,"

He pressed the fruit against his face until he squished it. (Very convincing.)  "Yum." His brother mimicked his actions.

There was silence. Y/N stared at them, holding in a laugh.

"No, actually, we are robots."  He admitted. "Let us go downstairs and find humans you cannot give orders to." He grabbed his brother's arm and dragged him with him.

They hid themselves behind one of the shelves. One reached over and grabbed a red marker.

Shortly, they revealed themselves with poorly drawn faces on their screens.

"Glad those robots are gone." He began. "Now it's just our humans, with our very human faces." He said, pointing to his face.

Y/N snickered a little. "Ok, you guys are funny but—" They started.

"Yes, my human guy name is Eric." He introduced himself and gave a small bow. "My name is also Eric." The other did the same.

Eric stared at him. "I mean, Deborah. Bot. 5000." He corrected.

Eric face planted himself. "Idiot." He scoffed.

"Deborah, and Eric," Y/N said, studying the two. "Okay." They took a moment to think.

The robots were defective, so they could ask anything and would get an answer. First, though, they needed to grab some granola bars.

They noticed an small backpack in the near distance. They grabbed it off the floor. They decided to use it for stuff they might need later.

They walked over to the shelves, grabbing a stash of snacks and stuffing it inside. They found a box of bandaids, and packed that in there too.

They took at least 3 minutes to get everything they needed. They put the backpack on their back, and left it at that.

Eric and DeborahBot were sitting outside the building, playing patty cake. Y/N caught them.

"Guys," They said. Eric and Deborah turned to look at them.

Y/N smiled awkwardly. They sat down besides them.

"This whole robot apocalypse thing is nuts." They mumbled.

"Eric, DeborahBot?" Y/N started. The two tilted their head towards them. "Is there a way to end this? Tell me, now."

"Okay!" Both stood up from the ground.

"We have a kill code stored in our memory," Eric began in a very dramatic tone.

"To enact it, you have to embark on a perilous journey all the way to the Pal Labs campus Silicon Valley, surrounded by a robot army, and enter it into our great and powerful leader to destroy her. But you would NEVER survive—"

"Actually, you can stop us quite easily." DeborahBot interrupted. "You could enter the kill code remotely at any Pal Labs retail store, there's one at the Mall of the Globe, a nearby shopping center."

"But it's super far away, you'll never make—" Eric went on.

"It's 80 miles away." DeborahBot said.

"What are you doing to me right now?" Eric shook his head. "Did I not do good?" Deborah asked.  (awh)

Y/N turned away for a moment. "That's close." They mumbled.

"I have a plan." They said. "What plan?" DeborahBot asked.

Y/N realized their car was still in decent shape. They'd have to disguise it somehow to get on the road.

"I know," They said out loud. "Guys, I need your help with something."
