Chapter 1: School

Y/n's pov

I woke up to my alarm baring in my ear. I turned it off rolling over on my back. I look at the ceiling hoping that today may be different than the others.i sighed before rolling off my bed and onto the cold wooden floor.

I instantly regretted my decision. I sprung up off of the floor. I then started to get ready for the day. I dress in a pretty simple outfit. A light yellow shirt and some flare jeans.

I then headed to the bathroom to take care off my messy hair. I pulled it back into a simple ponytail before heading out of my room and to the kitchen. Once I got there I didn't see my parents anywhere.

I headed over to the stove because there was a pan left untouched which is unusual. I saw some bacon and eggs waiting for me. Then when I looked next to the counter I saw note from my parents.

"Dear y/n, me and your father had to go on a sudden business trip do we won't be back until next month. I left you some bacon and eggs. In the dresser next to our bed is some money that will last you for sharing while so if you need to go to the grocery store you have money for food. XOXO Mom and Dad

Great I guess I will be alone for the billionth time this year. I quickly ate then left to walk with my only friend and his sister. His sister and I weren't close so I try to not talk to her as much as I can.

I see finney and Gwen exit their house which is only a few housed down from mine. "HEY FIN"! I yelled to him waving. I jogged up to him. "You ready for the Presentation today"? I asked as we started walking. His sister stayed silent. Which was weird but I brushed it off.

"Yea I think so, oh I also wanted to ask you if you wanted to start off or would I start off"? He responded looking over at me. "I will so that it won't be to much pressure on you ok". I said, I knew how shy and anxious he could be standing infront of the class speaking.

It would probably calm him down knowing that I went first and had no problem doing it. And it would give him time to calm down. After that we walked in silence. But it wasn't uncomfortable it was actually peaceful to be I their presence with out talking.

Once we neared the school we saw a huge crowd surrounding something.gwen and I looked at each other before nodding. We ran up leaving finney behind us. We pushed between the crowd to see what was happening. Me and Gwen might not be the closest but we both know that any sight of trouble we must watch it.

I know it is not good to do that but I did it anyways. Once we got to the front we saw a large kid and a smaller one standing their. I guess we made it just in time before anything happened.

"I'm going to pound you, you scrawny little beaner". The larger kid said, the crowd gasped along with me and Gwen. The smaller kid who I assume was Hispanic looked pissed at that. I think everyone knew that it was a slur and it was so disrespectful. " Oh ya, then do it". The smaller kid said, the crowd gasped again. The larger kid was twice his size he was going to be seriously injured after.

I knew the larger kid as Moose. Everyone knew him because of the way he bullies the kids around at school. But the smaller boy I didn't know. Moose swong but the smaller kid dogged and grabbed his arm. He twisted hit and threw Moose to the ground and got on top of him and started to hit him in the face. After a few punches finney dragged us away.

I didn't even realize that he was next to us before he dragged us away. He and Gwen started argu but I wasn't paying any attention. My mind wondered for a while until I saw the small boy from earlier. He was walking a few feet away from us. But I couldn't help but notice that he wasn't as small as I thought he was a couple feet taller than me it seemed like.

He must have felt me staring at him because he looked over at me. He smirked them winked. I blushed and looked away. I don't know why I was blushing. I don't even know him. I then was shaking back and forth by finney. "Oh what's up". I said looking back at him and Gwen who where smirking. I didn't like that and I think they saw what happened.

"What"? I asked. Looking at them. They shrugged before continuing on. "Robin is the strongest kid since the grabber took Vance Hopper last spring". Gwen said which had me paying attention to what they where saying. 'So his name it Robin'. I thought to myself. I smiled a little be for we entered the school. We all went our separate ways to go to our lockers. Once I put every thing I wouldn't need yet away and grabbed the things I did need I headed over to finneys locker.

We would usually meet up there and head to our classes together. But I didn't see him. I looked around and saw him running into the boys bathroom with his bully's right behind him. I heard earlier that him and Robin where friends so I scanned the crowd for him. I saw him s few feet away so I ran over to him. "Please help". I gasped out I ran but not that far but I wasn't the most fit and I was also worried out of my mind right now for Finney's safety.

"Hey are you ok"? He asked I shook my head yes before tellin  him the situation. "I told them to stay away from him! Follow me". He grabbed my wrist it wasn't hard or pulling where it would hurt. But yet is was firm and gentle. He told me to wait out side of the bathroom and that he would be right back. So I waited. After a few minutes his bully's came out. They saw me and smirked. They cornered me and pushed me against the lockers. I looked to see if anyone would help but they walked by like nothing was happening.

I couldn't hear faint talking in the bathroom so I assumed that they wouldn't be out for a while. "Aww look what we got here, your a pretty little thing aren't ya". The leader said pushing me further against the locker. His face inched closer and closer to mine. I closed my eyes I didn't want to see him. But before anything could happen I heard a pound thud. I opened my eyes and see Robin and finney. Robin punched the guy while finney came over and comforted me. I started crying.

But I stopped after a while. The bully's left and Robin came back over. "Sorry for leaving you out here I should have brought you with me no matter what would have happened". I told him that he doesn't need to apologize and that it was ok. It wasn't his fault that they where creeps. The bell shortly rang after that so I couldn't talk to him for long.

Me and finney headed to his locker and grabbed his things before heading to our first class of the day.
