You follow Ao'nong and Tonowari back to their Marui, as you all step in you and Ao'nung immediately sit down waiting to get disciplined.
"(Y/N)" Tonowari calls your name, your shoulders tense up with your ears flinching at the call of your name. You slowly raise your head and meet Tonowari's dark gaze.
"What happened? I need you to tell me from start and end." He says as he softens his gaze realizing it was scaring you. You look at him and then at Ao'nung.
Ao'nung lets out a loud sigh before nodding his head and telling you to say what happened. As much as he didn't want to get in trouble he knew better than to pull you into his mess, He wasn't about to let you lie to his father because of him.
Finally, you look back at Tonowari who sat with you two waiting patiently for you to begin. You took a big breath in before exhaling and started to tell him what happened, from when you were with Neteyam to when he showed up. Of course, though you left the part about what happened between you and Neteyam.
Your cheeks began to heat up remembering it, but they just thought of it being from that you were just being nervous and shy like normal.
"What in the world were you thinking? I know you may not like their company, but they are here to seek uturu and we must acknowledge that. I am, for this will be the last and only time I ask, Do not cause trouble. Do you understand me Ao'nung?" Tonowari voiced in fury as you finished telling the story.
With a deep inhale, Ao'nung sits up straight finally looking up from his lap, and nods his head. "Yes father, I understand. I'm sorry for causing trouble." he apologizes to his father and receives a nod back before Tonowari's gaze lingers over to your hunched-over figure while playing with the weaved mat under you.
"(Y/N), Thank you for telling the truth. I want you to stay out of trouble as well though, do you understand? You know it's what he would've wanted." You nodded your head keeping quiet as you could find words when he brought him up.
Ao'nung noticed your sudden mood change and gently grabbed your arm as he stood up pulling you with him and walking out of the Marui after quickly grabbing the spear gun. "Me and (Y/N) are gonna go hunting. We will be back later"
You and Ao'nung began to walk to the water and call your ilus before swimming further out. You didn't exactly know where you guys were going so you just followed along but roll your eyes as you see who was ahead of you guys. 'So this is why he wanted to come out here randomly'
"Ao'nung! Syulang!" his friends waved to you. You secretly roll your eyes at the nickname before giving them a small wave back. You did not want to be around them right now.
You began to tune their conversation out as you sat a little bit away from the little circle they formed. It had been a while since someone brought him up to you, and although it happened a long time ago you still feel a pang of pain in your chest as memories that you had pushed far back in your head began to resurface again.
