Vineet & Anamika are college mates in New York. Vineet is Anamika's senior. Their friendship blossomed into love, and they never knew. But something stops their love affair.

Anamika and Vineet meet each other and they decide to decipher the mystery that their families are hiding. They know that there is some strong connection and it is their respective moms. But both Naina and Devika are not in the mood to reveal anything. They don’t want their children to know anything of the past. This has left Anamika and Vineet in a dilemma.
***** It’s night, Devika and Vineet have finished their dinner and Vineet is convincing his Maa to go down for a walk. Upon his insistence, Devika agrees and he assures her that he will be by her side. Vineet locks the door of their flat and pockets the keys into the pockets of his lower that he is wearing. He looks happy and his mother is all smiles.
They enter the garden on the society premises. It has changed in the last 25 years. There’s a tiled platform to walk around the garden. A small space is converted into a play area. Devika is all smiles as she spots a temple in another corner of the park. She holds Vineet’s hand and takes him to the temple.
They worship and Devika stands still looking at the idol of Lord Shiva sitting in the middle of the temple. It seems like she’s talking to God about all that has happened in her life. She doesn’t know what will happen now but she only prays for her son’s well-being. The old priest tends to recognise her and he’s in awe to see Vineet.
“Devika beta, itne salon baad kaise aana hua?” He asks as he gives prasad to both the mother and son.

“Aap hi kehte they na panditji ki bachon ke liye bahut kuch karna padta hain. Bas apne bete ke liye aayi hun yahan. Daksh ke bina main adhoori hoon, lekin Vineet ke bina main akeli pad jaungi. Uski zidd ke saamne mujhe meri zidd chhodni padi.” She says and it seems the old priest knows the whole story.
“Jab tumhara beta tumhare sath hai toh tumhe chinta karne ki zaroorat nahi hai, beti. Sab mangalmay hoga.” The priest blesses them and they move out of the temple.
Devika chooses a bench and sits there. She could see the whole park from that point. Vineet is awestruck to see the beauty of the park from where they’re sitting. Small kids are playing in the garden, some people are taking a night stroll while elderly people are sitting and talking. Society is quite lively. Vineet is noticing her mother and he knows she is happy. He is tempted to ask her the same question she’s been avoiding.
