Kara Danvers had always been fascinated by dinosaurs. Ever since she was a child, she had dreamed of working with them, studying their behavior and learning more about the creatures that roamed the Earth millions of years ago. And now, as a young adult, she was getting the chance of a lifetime: to work as Owen Grady's mentee at Jurassic World.

Kara had been thrilled when she got the call offering her the job. She had been a fan of Owen's work for years, and she knew that he was one of the best dinosaur trainers in the business. She couldn't wait to learn from him and to work with the amazing animals that he cared for every day.

But there was one thing that Kara wasn't quite prepared for: the presence of Lena Luthor, Claire Dearing's personal assistant.

Kara had met Lena briefly during her interview process, but they hadn't really spoken much. Lena had seemed distant and reserved, and Kara had assumed that she was just another one of Claire's corporate lackeys. But now that she was working at the park, Kara was starting to see Lena in a different light.

It wasn't that Lena was unfriendly, exactly. She was polite enough, and she always seemed to know what was going on behind the scenes at the park. But there was something about her that put Kara on edge. She was always watching, always analyzing, and Kara couldn't help but feel like she was being scrutinized.

As the days went by, Kara found herself spending more and more time with Owen, getting to know the dinosaurs and learning the ins and outs of the park. But no matter where she went, Lena was always there, hovering in the background.

At first, Kara tried to ignore her. She was here to learn from Owen, not to make friends with Claire's assistant. But the more she saw of Lena, the more she found herself drawn to her.

There was something about the way Lena carried herself that was incredibly alluring. She was confident and self-assured, but there was a vulnerability there too, a hint of something softer beneath the surface. Kara couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she knew that there was more to Lena than met the eye.

It wasn't until they were both working late one night that Kara finally got the chance to talk to Lena in earnest. They were in the control room, monitoring the park's security cameras, when Lena turned to her and said, "You know, I was skeptical about having a mentee for Owen at first. But you seem to be picking things up pretty quickly."

Kara smiled, feeling a rush of pride. "Thanks. I'm really enjoying it here."

Lena nodded. "I can tell. You have a real passion for these creatures."

Kara's heart skipped a beat. Was Lena flirting with her? It was hard to tell, with her impassive expression and guarded tone. But there was something in the way she was looking at Kara that made her think that maybe, just maybe, Lena was interested in her.

They talked for a while longer, about the park and the dinosaurs and their own lives outside of work. Kara was surprised to learn that Lena was a bit of a science nerd herself, with a particular interest in genetics and DNA. They swapped stories about their favorite dinosaurs, and Kara found herself laughing more than she had in weeks.

As the night wore on, Kara realized that she didn't want to leave Lena's side. There was something about her that made her feel safe, like she could let her guard down and be herself. She found herself drawn to Lena's intelligence and her dry wit, and she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to kiss her.

But there was a problem: Lena was Claire's assistant, and Claire had made it very clear that fraternizing with the employees was strictly forbidden. Kara knew that if she pursued anything with Lena, it could jeopardize her position at the park.
