~A/N:Background bc why not~So, these guys mentioned in the story are real people in my life. I own the OC Jules Picc, although I haven't made any fanart of her yet, because I'm lazy, I still have all the rights to her. So please be respectful, and keep that in mind while reading.Au revoir!-LaLiSa~Jules(Julie)~ Hi my name is Jules Picc, I am from California, and I'm 17 years old. This story is about my 4 best friends, Jharrel, Tim, Ryder, and Trey. ~Begin~ The summer wasn't the best time of the year, aside from my birthday, but that wasn't really summertime, since I had to wait all the way till September to celebrate. Normally my parents would say, "Go outside, and don't come back in until..." but I'm not 12 anymore so that ain't happening. (yes that really happens >~<) This year I wanted to do something exciting, but here's the problem. I am a total and complete loser with not a single person to call a 'friend'. To me that screams, 'complete psycho', along with other things, but hey you win some you lose some, in my case i won nothing and got not a god-damn thing. I will be honest, there are a few people I can claim as being friendly, but that doesn't come close. So, instead of sulking I decided that I was gonna hang out with myself. Yay! Me time, right? Wrong. "Okay, Mom, Dad, Luna if you're awake I'm leaving." I knew nobody was listening, since they tell me pretty often that my voice is annoying. "Hey, try not to get kidnapped alright?" I spun around, great it's Luna, the worst-I mean best little sister ever. "Haha you are so funny! Are you a comedian, like really?" I said, as I walked out the door, making sure to slam it behind me. This is why I'm not having kids, I told myself. I quite honestly had no idea where I was going, but I had to think of something or else I was going to have to high-tail it back home, and listen to all the reasons why I should be outside. Playing. Or exercising whatever people do outside! After about 20 minutes of rationalizing with myself why I shouldn't go home I figured it out. "Oh yeah, Belmont Park." Ah, yes Belmont park, one of the best amusement parks my hometown has to offer. (A/N: If you live in San Diego, then you know, if not...well...yeah) Tilt-a-whirl, that ride that'll make you cry like a little baby, oh and The Giant Dipper. One ride on that thing and you're hooked. As you go up, like most beachfront coasters, you can see the ocean, whichever one you're by, and then the drop. I'm not sure how fast you go down but it's pretty fast. ~Ticket booth~ When I got to the line there were already at least 20 people in line. "Come on, Tope mai." (Samoan for Hurry up) I tried to go back around and wait until the line cleared up but I was met with what seemed to be a freaking kindergarten class behind me. "Great, there goes my fun." After what seemed like an eternity, the line finally cleared up, and it was my turn. "Hello! How many tickets?" Well since it's just me. "Um, I'll take one for now." The lady at the booth left to the other side of her small little cubicle, and printed out a ticket. "Can I have a name?" she asked. "Jules Picc. Picc with two C's." From what I assumed she wrote my name on the ticket, and all that was left was to pay. "That's $17." Dang the price went up since I last came here. I gave her the money, and hurried off to the Ice Cream Shoppe. ~Ice Cream Shoppe~If I was being honest with myself I shouldn't have been eating any of what I wanted on my ice cream but the point was to have fun, right? "Hello, how can I help you?" Flavors(these are the actual flavors there, although some may be wrong or missing as I haven't been since last summer)Double chocolate brownie w/ chocolate chipsStrawberry funnel cake (idk why they put the strawberry part when funnel cake is strawberry.)Strawberry cheesecake ChocolateVanilla BeanVanilla BirthdayToppings(same not as the flavors)Gummy bearsWhite chocolate raisins Gummy wormsSprinkles (yawn)Whipped creamChocolate chipsOreosCupsWaffle BowlWaffle ConeRegular Cup "Can I get a Strawberry cheesecake in a waffle bowl, with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and sprinkles ?" The assistant quickly got to my order while the cashier smiled warmly. "Of course, that'll be $24.36." I handed her the exact change and went on my way to get my ice cream. The assistant handed me the bowl, and a spoon over the window and kindly pointed me towards some tables, where I could enjoy my food in peace. I headed towards where she had directed and was shocked to see it completely empty. "Yessss." I cheered. Midway through my ice cream a 4-sum of boys walked over to the same table where I was seated. "Dude we went on that thing 5 times, are you sure we should go again? May I remind you there is tomorrow." the tallest of them said. The shorter one pouted.~Quick run down from the Author~Jharrel: Tallest, African American, brown hair, gray eyes, always laughing about somethingTrey: Relatively short(Like 5'6), Korean-American, brown eyes, constantly making smart comments Ryder: second tallest, African american, dark brown eyes, black hair, just wants to chill and eat junk all dayTim: Middle-ish height not tall not short, Canadian, blue eyes, kinda reddish brown hair, the 'sworn protector of this here friend group" ~Okay continue.~They came over and sat down not minding that I was right there. "Honestly I could care less, man, you went to laser tag 6 times today." the Asian one replies. I quickly got up and threw away my trash, so I could get away from whatever they were arguing about because quite frankly it was pissing me off just listening to them bicker like some old married couple."Hey dude, you apparently made this girl upset." (I'm just gonna use their names now, bc saying their race and stuff is making me uncomfortable), Tim said. "Oh shoot, I didn't pay attention that she was here. Hi! I'm Trey, you wanna sit with us?" Wait, were they really inviting me to sit with them, a group of apparently conflicting souls? "Uh sure?" I said, while sitting back down. "Soooo, what's your name?", Ryder asked. "Oh sorry, my name's Jules, but please call me Julie." They all smiled. "Okay, Julie, let's do an ice breaker. Are you okay with that?", Tim asked. "Yeah that sounds fun." We spent what felt like hours talking and laughing, I finally got that feeling of safety that I wanted from these four amazing people. "Soooo, we're going on the Giant Dipper, and that's final.", Trey said. Jharrel just gave him a thumbs up. Ryder beamed, "Yeah it's gonna be hella fun with Julie. Am I right? Am right?" He said playfully. "Okay man we get it, a girl joined our group, so what?" Jharrel asked. I spoke up saying, "So how many times have y'all been here?" They all blinked simultaneously, then Tim answered, "About 16 if you count that time I drove us here when they were closed as a prank." I giggled, they were just so sweet, and pure. ~Giant Dipper~"Okay, Julie there are seats of two towards the back and up front is one seat. Are you riding with one of us or do you want to ride by yourself?" Jharrel asked, trying to sound paternal. Hmm maybe I should ride with one of them, just in case I have a panic attack. "I'll ride with one of you," I said with a huge smile. "Okay we have to get into pairs now, since the line is moving quickly. Okay, Trey in front, Tim and you with me, and Ryder you sit with Julie. Alright?""Cool," Ryder said."Alright," Tim replied. "Fine by me," I replied.Trey, being overly dramatic, says, "Let's goooo!" "You gonna finish that bro?", Ryder asks while laughing. I had no idea what they were talking about. "Oh yeah, *ahem* 'This is our home we got every generation. So full of music the rhythm of its own design. These are besties, once an incomplete constellation, but now we have Julie, and man she's a star, look how she shines!'". Oh, now I get it they were making a parody of 'Encanto', nice. "Aww Trey, that's so sweet! Thank you." I said as we moved up in the line. I clutched my ticket close to me, making sure I didn't accidentally drop it. We handed the guy our tickets one by one, and then got ready to ride. "Eeek, I'm nervous." I whispered to Ryder. He put his arm around my shoulder while looking the other way, "It's okay, I'll protect you sis."~End-almost~I would have never thought in one day of trying something new I would meet my 4 guardian angels. The very people who guarded me with their lives, made sure I slept at night, ate food, prioritized my mental health, and even taught me things about myself that I never noticed. That is why I am so glad to call these boys my best friends. Because no matter if I am having a bad day or not they love me for me and I love that about them.
