Cindy and I were sitting at a chair near our front yard, watching our dog Choco-Banano chase his tail. Then a ball came from a different direction and landed on the street. Choco-Banano sprinted toward the ball and licked it a while before grabbing it. Afterward, he grabbed it with his mouth. But then I realized a car was coming, and Cindy sprinted towards Choco-Banano, grabbed him, threw him, and was ready to get run over. The vehicle hit the brakes and stopped before Cindy was run over. The door at the left opened and Ms. Miller hopped out.

"I'm sorry Ms. Miller, but I was trying to save Choco-Banano," Cindy explained, holding back tears, "I was going to die for him to be alive."

Ms. Miller looked at Choco-Banano and frowned, "I never liked that dog anyway."

"Thanks for saving me," Cindy said, ignoring Ms. Miller's opinion, "I am sorry for stepping in your way."

"No problem," She said, under her breath, she murmured," That dang dog should've died."

Cindy returned to sit back in her chair and put her arm on top of mine, "Cindy's now better, don't worry!" I was trembling but quickly calmed down as I felt a hot chill go through my body. Cindy was safe now, besides me.

Ms. Miller knocked on the door and mom greeted her," Good morning Eva! What brings you here?" She asked as Ms. Miller entered through the door towards our kitchen. I followed.

"I'm sorry," Ms. Miller started speaking 5 seconds later, "I almost run over your daughter."

"You almost did...WHAT?" Mom screamed, "Get out! NOW!"

"Sorry Avery," Ms. Miller said, exiting through the door.

Mom turned towards me and asked, "Are you okay, Carla dear?"

I didn't answer, instead, I was distracted by some cookies on the counter, I turned around realizing mom was expecting an answer, "Yes, I'm fine, ask Cindy, I'm not the one who almost got run over by Ms. Miller," I headed towards the kitchen and grabbed one of the cookies, and ate it. It was delicious.

"Cindy dear, are you okay?" Mom asked looking towards her.

"I'm fine, although I do have this small pain in my leg," Cindy said, "But it's no big biggie!"

Biggie was Cindy's favorite word. She would use it daily: At school, at home, at a random place, in the middle of a conversation, etc.

My mom says she's addicted to that word, but my favorite word is Spindiddly.

"These cookies are spindiddly, mom!" I said, taking another one. Mom's hands stopped me.

"You know you can only have 1 cookie at this hour, it's already 5 o'clock," Mom said, as she snatched the cookie away from me and ate it herself.

"What about me?" Cindy asked, "Can I grab one?"

"Have you grabbed one yet?" Mom asked.

"No," Cindy smirked, but mom didn't seem to notice.

"Sure, take 1," Mom said as she walked towards the kitchen and handed her a cookie.
